I have often been told not to wear perfume in summer when the sun is shining because perfume+sun=stains on your skin. Does anyone have any experience with this or know if it is really true? I don't want to go through summer wearing perfume only on my hair, since it's chemistry with the skin is such an integral part of the experience.
If it is true, is it true only for certian ingredients? I remember that SUN by Jil Sander was originally marketed as a perfume you could wear to the beach because it doesn't stain your skin, but I don't remember why that is the case.
Do you guys spray fragrance on your skin when you know you will be out in the sun?
Any insight would be helpful!
