I thought of "sachets" as scented little fabric "pillows" stuffed with perfumed cotton batting. In the past, these were placed inside gloves to allow the glove to dry and perfume the glove at the same time. Nothing more disagreeable than smelly, sweaty leather gloves after handling the reins all afternoon...
In actuality,--alas, the heartbreak--these are little "sachets" containing a small towel moistened with cologne to freshen up whilst travelling, much like the little serviettes they give you at take-away restaurants.
