Nick,

My ratings out of 5 stars, based very much on preference, taking into account that these scents are very well-made.

1. Himalaya 3.5
2. Virgin Island Water 4.8
3. Millesime Imperial 4.5
4. Erolfa 4.5
5. Original Santal 3.5

It would be interesting to know how you rate them too.

I'll take a page from matthewfoo:

" My ratings out of 5 stars, based very much on preference, taking into account that these scents are very well-made. "

1. Himalaya: 5 stars
2. Virgin Island Water: 3 stars
3. Millesime Imperial: 3.5 stars
4. Erolfa: 5+ stars if you're by a sea breeze. Otherwise hard to rate--honestly!
5. Original Santal:--I haven't had the pleasure yet.

Say, have you sampled Baie de Genièvre or Royal English Leather?

Cheers,

Mario

1. Millesime Imperial (9.3/10): most versatile and best composed

2. Himalaya (8.1/10): best dry-down and forceful initial presentation

3. Original Santal (7.8/10): loud, and utterly enjoyable

4. Erolfa (7.5/10): quiet, and utterly enjoyable. not very versatile (beach, hot weather)
5. VIW (7.3/10): beach specific, but definitely a guilty pleasure

I only have experience from 3 of the 5 so here is my 2 cents.

1. Himalaya - 5/10 (I like the scent just OK, but it doesn't project at all on me, longevity is very weak on me too)
2. Virgin Island Water - Never tried...... YET!
3. Millesime Imperial - 10/10 (Awesome scent, excellent projection and longevity that lasts all day on me)
4. Erolfa - 2/10 (I seriously like the smell, but sadly it disappears instantly once sprayed onto my skin, no sillage or longevity)
5. Original Santal - Never tried

Thanks for your replies! I know GIT gets rave reviews, but I tried it on my skin and it turned sour on me. I don't know if it's my skin chemistry or what, but it doesn't smell amazing to me. However, I definitely can see it being unique....
