Vetiver is an addictive smell. My favorite note. You have bought 4 nice ones.
Bois Blonds - Atelier Cologne
Vettiveru - CDG
Fat Electrician - ELDO
Red Vetyver - Montale

are 4 more you should sniff at some point...

I can definitely relate to this.

But what about Sel de Vetiver? Sycomore? Vetiver Tonka? Vetiver pour Elle? The path down vetiver road is long and fragrant.

Very long, very fragrant, very expensive, very satisfying...ahhh Vetiver Tonka. My new found love. Will be mine by the time the leaves start to turn for sure.

Mine started with the Guerlain Vetiver, and after that one went crazy too, now I have sel de vetiver, sycomore, annick goutal vetiver, route du vetiver, vetiver tonka, vettiveru, guerlain vintage, carlo corinto, malle vetiver extraordinaire and recently bought mazzolari vetiver and ormonde jayne zizan... tell me about it...

Both Givenchy and Encre Noire are excellent. Good choice.

Coming from another vetiver junkie - get a sample of Route du Vetiver. It doesn't get more hardcore. Raw, unapologetic vetiver with a rubber note. Like wearing a weapon.

Welcome to the club! Vetiver is the best note around and almost all the scents made with are very good.

Vetiver insanity is a normal symptom of time spent on Basenotes. Nothing to be worried about.

Malle's Vetiver Extrordinaire a must try for you.

I'm not a huge vetiver fan, but that one tempting me.

Don't leave out Lorenzo Villoresi's Vetiver if you're going into the land of hardcore.

^^ Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'll keep it to the first 4 for now... I do have my eye on Malle's Vetiver Extrordinaire, but its just sooo expensive.

If anyone wants to share a decant of it with me, I'd be glad to send out a decant of any of 4 I just got... just PM me.

One more: Vetiver des Sables (Montale)
Vetiver pushers here...all nice recommendations.
One more: Fresco di Vetiver by I Profumi di Firenze
O.K. two: Vetiver Sport (Guerlain)
oops I forgot Etro Vetiver.
I'll stop now.
Seriously, this is my favorite note too. Enjoy!

Why not try some khus/pure vetiver EO then? Vetiver Bourbon for example is a beautiful rich, smooth and slightly sweet vetiver. And gets only better with age.

Probably my favorite note as well. Love the Givenchy, Encre Noire, Sycamore, Sel de Vetiver and the list goes on.....

I never liked strong vetiver, but I do like M; Men, which does have a clear vetiver note. At this point, it's the only frag with a fairly strong vetiver note that I can enjoy once in a while. Lately, I've been enjoying oakmoss and leather most of all (in terms of basenotes), though usually with a little sweetness (amber, vanilla, tonka, etc.).

Try Kenzoair for a more sublte take on vetiver mixed with anise and cedar. Great for hot summer nights
