Hi guys i have been smelling bdp for a while and have noticed that there is a tobacco note to my nose. Given it is a bit subtle but it is there, it is predominately wood and vetiver but does anyone else notice tobacco in it. is there any proof that tobacco exists in it?

I have also smelled tobacco. It is so well blended that it is hard to tell if it is the synergy of woods with something or if there is tobacco in there that is not listed 'officially'.

It is subtle but I've noticed it too. But what does it matter? It still smells great to m and I never trust 'official notes' 100% anyway.

It can at times have a sort of "ashtray" kind of note in it. Perhaps that's a touch of tobacco.

Of the 123 reviews of Bois du Portugal in the directory, 6 of them mention tobacco (one with a question mark). I never noticed it. It isn't in the 'official' notes, not that that proves anything.

i love tobacco so it does not bother me at all, it is my favorite creed, that and vintage tabarome. i was always curious if it had tobacco because to me it smells like it.

I smell something like tobacco too, or like burning incense

I very faintly smell anything like tobacco.

It's the same note or accord is in Escada Collection. I refer to it as "ashtray jasmine," being that I am not a chemist or perfumer and don't know which molecules are responsible.
