Violette Precieuse by Caron (thank you Ubuandibeme!)

I love the colour purple anyway and this scent is so beautiful.

I'm wearing Samsara Shine today...

what a fantastic picture of les flacons de Vol de Nuit! Adorable, M. G. !!! The mere sight of the vessels makes me crave for a whiff of the gorgeous scent!

Kisses to you all !

I was wearing Twilight Rose, to celebrate Dorothy Mc Call's birthday ...
But now I'm all a-rose with Weleda Rose soap, Rose Body Oil, and Enfleurage's outrageously $$$ Bulgarian white rose absolute ;-0

Can't wait to meet up w/ BN event attendees...
And will SORELY MISS all those NOT able to attend.

What to wear, what to wear?

I think I'll go in clover today... Gal Trebol.

I've been in a testing mood lately, but this morning is another failure. Kai EDP - reminds me of being a kid and putting on someone's White Shoulders. I haven't smelled that in many years, but this is what it reminds me of. I'm pretty much giving up on white florals - just not genre that I care for.

We may do nothing today except lie around, read, eat and watch streaming videos. Why does this make me feel so guilty?

I have a barely used mini sample of Eternity for Men After Shave Balm, that someone gifted me (?) and I never use it, so today (fresh from a shower, after a morning run) I slapped some on my shaved neck and upper chest/arms. I used to wear EFM a bunch when I was in my 20's, I forgot how refreshing the central aquatic accord can be, especially when your skin is hot and you crave something refreshing. But then I thought...what scent am I going to wear to complement it (I don't own the EdT of EFM)...so, this one popped to mind and I'm wearing it:

Vetiver Extreme by Guerlain

The combination is wonderful. The Guerlain vetiver (that we all know and love) has that far-off-whiff-of-locker room that blends nicely with the fresh/aquatic whiffs of EFM.

Off to brunch!

Eau de Shalimar, my fave after the extrait (!).

Hope you are all enjoying your Sundays!
Nice to see Chaya! We’ve missed you round here lately.

Quarry, don’t feel guilty. This morning’s sermon at church (guest priest, as our regular is on sabbatical) was all about just *being* as God meant us to be, without mental gyrations about what we should be *doing* all the time. That’s a Christian homily I can get along with.

It’s so hot but at least the dog got a good walk this morning, so I feel a little less guilty about her (and my) lack of exercise. Now we’re just lying around *being* and eating, too.

My SotD is Shalimar Eau Légère (thanks very much, Arwen_Elf), which I had tried when it came out several years ago and haven’t seen since. This is a very, very nice modernized version of Shalimar, in the sense that Eau Première is a very, very nice modernized version of No. 5. I think it’s well done, but I’ll need to re-spritz soon.

I hope everyone is enjoying the day.

Adding: Scent Siblings with Musse today, I see! Not a good Basenotes day for me today, I keep getting thrown off the site.

Milton Bradley should have come out with a game called Guilt. Most of us already know how to play.

Feeling half guilty now: Made us a lunch of a big salad (followed by mint chocolate-chip ice cream).

Today I'm testing Laurence Dumont Vanille Patchouli. It's a nice blend of both but has only lasted 3 hours.
Time for something else....

This morning L de Lolita Lempicka Fleurs de Coraile for this hot, dry Texas day. This afternoon, I'm testing samples while we, too are lazing around. Isn't that what Sundays are for?

Happy Birthday to LovetheScents, and what a great picture of the Birthday cake from lillybelle! Relaxing Sunday to all....

Happy birthday, Lovethescents!

I was wearing the beautiful Joy today.
I wore L'air du Temps to church this morning, but now I'm just wearing a Red Tea & Fig body spritzer from Mary Kay. I'm hoping the tea will keep the mosquitos from using me as a chew toy. 50 bites in two days is quite annoying!

in the 80's F here today, felt like wearing Hermes Eau de Merveilles, which was very nice for the live stage play I just saw (work related outing)
Let me tell you, MacBeth at our local "former church turned into a playhouse everything done on a shoestring budget " venue but no one in the cast over 18 years old makes it challenging to buy into the darkness of the piece. But the kids get very high marks for enthusiasm and effort.

Happy Sunday evening all!

Feel better Miss Mimi!

Thank you knit_at_nite! DH is a cutie- he went to the store for some mushromms and came home with a pot of roses for me. He knows I am on a rose kick too .

RHM- the pic of the pearl necklace I bought earlier is on the Jewelry thread under the Fashion forum. I prefer to use it as a bracelet because the pearls are a bit minute ! *LOL*

Happy Birthday Lovethescents!!!!

Today I wore Jaisalmer by CdG. Thoughts on it coming up in Pass the Parcels thread.
Vent Vert by Pierre Balmain. (1990 Calice Becker version )
I wore Nanette Lepore. It was too saccharin sweet on this hot humid day. During my walk at the beach, I was wishing I wore something more refreshing. I think this fragrance works best in the cool days of fall for me. I'll have to retry it then.
