Which of the 4 male fragrances from Hermes do you like best?
My 2 favourites are Bel Ami and Equipage. Very difficult to pick out one..
I like Bel Ami, Equipage and Terre d'Hermes, but if you forced my hand, I would choose Equipage.
Bel Ami, Equipage being a veeeery close second.
I'm getting into the older Hermès scents, but my first one still rules for me: TdH.
Rocabar!
TDH and Equipage. These two are great but if you had to force my hand as well, Geez, well, I'd force my hand onto both if I could lol.
I have to qualify my answer (TdH) with the fact that I only have Equipage and TdH and have not sniffed the others. Equipage I'm having problems warming up to (but I like it) possibly due to the slight Bay Rum notes that it produces on my skin (which I don't really care for) ... Terre d'Hermes on the other hand is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful... and is so like a bitter citrus (in a good way) version of Chanel Sycomore due no doubt to the vetiver, and Sycomore is one of my all time favorites, close to a HG for me.)

Terre d'Hermes

+ 1 for Terre d'Hermes, I also like Eau d'Orange Verte and Eau de Pamplemousse Rose.
I'd pick orange verte actually. It's the gio of the initiated.

I`m very surprised to see Terre d Hermes is in the top..
I see we're leaving out unisex scents.
My Hermes ranking as a house:

1. Concentre D'Orange Verte
2. Eau D'Orange Verte
3. Rocabar
4. Terre D'Hermes
5. Bel Ami

And of the ones you listed, Rocabar.

Why would you be surprised? It is the Hermes masculine most posted about here. And one of the most reviewed fragrances on basenotes, period.

I would be surprised otherwise.

I would be surprised otherwise.

It`s probably because of my personal taste.. I think the others are sooo much better!

Equipage
Rocabar is my all-time fave Hermes
I would choose Eau d'Hermès and Eau d'Orange Verte, but I guess they are unisex, huh (per the Hermès website)? Both seem masculine to me.

Picked Bel Ami here.
I've tried all the male Hermes scents, vintage and current. However, as I have not spent a great deal of time with a few I do not consider myself to be qualified to answer in the poll.

I own TdH and EdOV and enjoyed Rocabar and Bel Ami. I wore Equipage on my wrist today, courtesy of Nordstroms, and I like it much better than I had in the past but still consider it a bit dated for my tastes. Bel Ami is bright and spicy but I need to give it a full wearing to convince myself I can wear it comfortably. As for Rocabar, well, I don't remember much of Rocabar other than I liked it. Solid, solid house.

Can't vote. I'd pick Bel Ami for the wonderful experience one day out of thirty, and Equipage for the other twenty-nine. Can't pick better than that. I worship both equally.

Un jardin aprés la mousson ! XD
From your four choices, I have Bel Ami, Equipage and TdH. Of these three, my favorite would be Equipage

From the house of Hermes, my favorites would be: Vetiver Tonka and Ambre Narguile and Un Jardin En Mediterranee. The first 2 are still on my wishlist. Wallet doesn't allow me make them a member of my family yet. hahahaha
post #23 of 51
Out of those, TdH. Out of all of them, TdH. Though I did enjoy VdH and Eau d'Orange Verte quite a bit. I like the Jardin's somewhat, but are not bottle worthy to me as these 3 are. I just wish I could find TdH somewhere reduced, but it never goes on sale, at least nothing in my budget. I may have to spring for it soon.
I love all of them, but i have voted TERRE D'HERMÈS and do not know why...
I'm indifferent on Bel Ami, Equipage and Rocabar and loathe TdH.
This rotten Orange flower is just too much for me.
However, Unisex and female wise speaking the house is great.
I have to go with Terre D'Hermes.....This is Fantastic!!!

Equipage for me.
Honorable mention to Eau d'Orange Verte and Eau de Gentiane.
Terre D'Hermes
OF those listed I would pick Equipage - my original favorite from Hermes and still a good one.

But, if chosing favorites from the Hermes line in general I would list:

Eau de Gentiane Blanche
Ambre Narguille
Eau de Hermes
Un Jardin Sur la Nil
Eau d' Orange Verte

nearly.

my list:

Sur le nil
Caleche (Parfum Soir Version)
Eau de Pamplemousse Rose
Eau d'Orange Verte
Kelly Caleche

Equipage from that list...
Then
Vetiver Tonka
Paprika Brasil
Poivre Samarcande
Both Equipage and Bel Ami are in my Top Ten list of all time favorite scents.

Equipage was a signature scent for me for three or four years straight, starting in 2001.

Used to love Rocabar, but don't like it too much anymore.

I hate Terre d'Hermes.

Totaly agreed!
Terre d'Hermes is the most modern scent, but to me, Bel Ami is a more interesting scent.

Has it ever been a Bel-Ami shower-gel and deo-stick?

Bel Ami.

vintage Bel Ami, hands down.
Poivre Samarcande, Equipage, Eau d'Orange Verte and obviously Bel Ami
post #40 of 51
I don't like any Hermes male fragrance. But Rocabar is the one i can tolerate, it's even OK for a right wearer. Voted Rocabar.
Bel Ami then TdH

Terre (****)

Bel Ami
Terre d'Hermes EDP

The others are classics, but totally outdated for my tastes.
I voted TdH, but they are all exceptional.
I like them all, but if forced to choose one it would have to be vintage Equipage.
Bel Ami and Rocabar hands down!! Both rock my world like few fragrances can. TdH is pretty good, but feels like it's missing that something extra.
From those listed, TdH.
Overall, Voyage

Voyage d`Hermès should have been on the list, but it wasn`t in my mind back in 2010 ;-)
-Now it`s one of my favourits. The pure parfume version is almost "up there" with Terre d`Hermès.
