Le Grand Duc!! Now you´ve had me green with envy; TP is one I´d really wish to get my paws on, but it´s 90 bucks for the 30 ml at Fragrancex... I wore this a lot when it first came out (it´s discontinued now), and I can still recall the smell (and the compliments it rewarded me, lol!).

I´m in Itislove by Salvador Dali today. Pleasant enought, but very forgettable...

Wish you all a happy and healthy Monday!

Nice to see you back, love.
It's not discontinued yet,
but I bet it will be soon.
EBay is flooded with Tendre
Poisons, both auctions and
BIN ... at reasonable prises.
I'm going to snatch my a 100ml
when we get paid, my small 30ml
bottle is only half full, as I've been
using it alot this month!
It is really goooooood!

Guerlain's Mon Précieux Nectar, a confectioner's snowflake-airy almond meringue, both ethereal and rich and perhaps the most jubilant of the Guerlain smiles, somewhere between L'Heure Bleue and Chamade.

Happy Monday

SONIA RYKIEL'S Rose today for me!!!Another one fantastic rose aroma
post #8 of 52
Demeter Sandalwood. Got it on sale for small change yesterday, I rather like it. Simple and linear but pleasant, and both longevity and sillage are pretty good for a Demeter, I'd say.

Wearing OJ Frangipani for what is my last ever scent of the day post. I have my favourite perfumes that I wear regularly and will repurchase while the rest are on ebay to go to better homes. Thanks to all the long time members for sharing your knowledge and good luck to all the new ones. It's so much fun exploring the world of fragrance. Would never have known about my favourite that I'm wearing today if it wasn't for this wonderful site.

Penhaligon's LOTV. Happy Monday!!

The pics are making smile this morning. Roberto, you know I love your SotD. You smell great! Everyone smells great around here.

I'm wearing Ma Griffe by Carven this morning, the current version, which of course is not the original, but it isn't a bad reformulation either. In fact it's quite pleasant.

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

I'm sampling Zents Earth today -- a big thank you to Quarry for this one. I don't see it in the directory, but there's some information on it here. It reminds me of Rose 31, minus the cumin. Very nice! Must be the sandalwood and some kind of evergreen. Fir, according to that sale page.

Hello everyone!

Delighted to be rose-ing up the joint with sophi, I'm in Creed's Fleurs de Bulgarie. Fiancé said it smells like fancy rose soap, and it really does. That's the simplest and most accurate way to describe it, but I always like to add things like, "sublime," "lush" and "luxurious" to really sell it.

Y'all have a wonderful day!

What better way to start the week than with Mitsouko, so Mitsouko it is!
Second day in JM Black Amber & Ginger Lily, which went from being a ★★ to a ★★★★ in my assessment yesterday (at least those topnotes are 4 star, drydown is 3-1/2).

I guess I needed to experience its bloom in the heat. I now understand it to be incense with training wheels or like Black Cashmere Light. AND thanks to cologney-collateral from a certain mouse , I've just arranged a swap for a bottle of BA&GL!

This is cranking up to be a scent-nifigant week!

Will see Basenotes peeps on FRIDAY!
(Somebody sedate me, please.)

Hello everybody Today it seems I'm building up a cold Sore throat and feel a bit under the weather in general. Probably has the festival I attended the last few days to thank for that. I'm not complaining, though Now seen Clutch,Sivert Høyem ( the lead singer of Madrugada...too bad Madrugada is history, though) and last but not least , I even saw the Sonics ++++ Sotd is Ô de Lancome ( thank you dear Duke!) It reminds me ever so slightly of Jicky, that I adore!

Amouage Reflection Woman from a sample. Soft and airy, or maybe watery - but that is a positive. Maybe like sitting next to a reflection pool with a faint wiff of florals drifting in. It is very easy wearing - I don't have to think too much about it. Just as well, I am at work
post #28 of 52
((ineespenes)) Oh dear, a cold? I hope you don't lose your sense of smell!

My hearing has been a bit odd for days now...I think it must be caused by fluid in my ears from allergies. It increases and decreases over the course of the day and sometimes one ear has it more than the other. Our bodies have many ways to annoy us!

Let's see, what to wear today...? A scent to do paperwork with. It has to keep me awake without being overly distracting. One of my lily of the valley scents...I think C&E Lily of the Valley.

BBW Fresh Ginger Lime, I don't think they make this scent anymore.

I'm wearing Cool Water Woman today. I know it doesn't get much love on here, but it was one of my favorites when I was in high school. I hardly ever wear it anymore.

Mmm, sounds heavenly, Mr. G. I'm not familiar with that one, but it sounds like it would be right up my street.

I'm in the beautiful & spicy Giorgio Red, thanks so much for your generosity, Hillaire! I'm not saving this for winter nights, even though it's a struggle to fit my tank top with huge shoulder pads.

Everyone smells wonderful today!

Today I'm enjoying 06130's Lentisque. It's a beautiful fragrance with floral notes in the heart which I usually don't care for, but this is very subtle. It has NO sillage, which is fine, but not much lasting power. Still, it's worth the occasional respray throughout the day.
