Not seen this one. Think I'd give the most shocking award to Men Behind the Sun. It makes Salo look like Mary Poppins!

That is the only movie that I have wanted to unsee afterwards.

Have you seen Irreversible? I found that really disturbing. Horribly so. But by the end it seemed like it was for a reason and strangely beautiful.

I found the rape-scene almost unbearable to watch; at the same time I found its truth and realism "helpful" to convey the horror of such an act some people just fantasize about in the categories of "Fifty Shades of Grey".

Let the right one in is pretty neat (if you don't mind subtitles)

The best way to walk (1976)

Just got out of The Dark Knight Rises.

I thought it was pretty good. I did go in thinking it would be over-hyped, but I was entertained. I'd recommend it.

Green Mile.

Got a free ticket to The Dark Knight Rises a couple of nights ago. Very good movie, although a tad too long (parents were constantly getting up to take their kids to the bathroom). But a very satisfying finale for Nolan's Batman.

Nice, that's on my next-to-watch list.

+1 for Snatch, Spirited Away, Once, The Closet and 12 Angry Men.

Heard good things about Let the right one in and The Fountain (The score for The Fountain by Clint Mansell is amazing).

Romy (2009) - a rather mediocre biopic about Romy Schneider, with Jessica Schwarz being rather miscast and incapable of capturing the beauty, drama, elegance, complexity and unpredictability of the main character, but then again, most biopics are set out to be one-dimensional nowadays.

(1969 ) Melina Mercouri performances are always remarkable

And Then She Found Me

Enjoyed it.

THE EDGE

Harrowing, spare, great primal themes explored by David Mamets screenplay. Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Elle MacPherson. Deftly directed by Lee Tamahori with a soaring musical score by Jerry Goldsmith. Recommended.

Half Nelson

Even when Ryan Gosling is portraying a drug-addicted school teacher, he still manages to look hot.

The Fountain is so strange and so good - I have re-watched it several times. Hugh Jackman is amazing. Bring lots of tissues, it is gut-wrenchingly sad.

One of my favorite summer movies, this year. I have the soundtrack and listening to it takes me back to parts of the film that I love.

The Walking Dead, second season. And just as I was convinced this is one of the best shows ever, there's a rather boring episode (the one in which Dale finally stops moralising). So boring that I found time to notice mistakes, e.g. how comes that that prisoner doesn't at least sport some stubble after all that time?
