A Single Man (2009)
Way too gay! The presentation of homosexuality in a downright intrusive way. No, Tom Ford is no director. Tom Ford should stick with commercials; he presented his gay corporeal world like a glossy ad from Mercedes. Devoid of any human interaction or the slightest attempt of intellectuality, soulless, loaded with the superficial, synthetic, almost fascist presentation of mere atmosphere like only a fashion-fixated, brainless designer can do. I much prefer a deeply human, substantial and memorable rendition of a gay theme, like in the masterpiece Gods and Monsters (1998).
