The Pirates! Band of Misfits

I am sort of obsessed with Aardman Animation, and this one features the same dry British humor with that fantastic stop-motion animation. The set/art design on the film is just beautiful also. A treat for the eyes and lots of fun for not just kids

I'm not sure if you're serious, but I refused to watch the movie after reading the book. It was dark and macabre.

Coincidentally, I am also watching Javier Bardem...in Love in the Time of Cholera, all about Love: love that is so pure that it is a disease...a lifelong madness...a reason for living.

Lawless (2012) - Did not think much of this though the deep south accents of some of the characters were hard to understand. Sounded like they were mumbling most of the time.

Quirky and twee. Harold and Maude meets Love Story. The atmospherics, and Van Sants poetic visuals, kept me interested, but no significantly new ground or insights.
