This is a really good show. Great performance by 2 veteran actors. A great and familiar plot...

The King's Speech-- compelling and excellently acted. I hope Colin Firth gets the Oscar for that performance.

Daughter wanted to see Black Swan; school vacation + $5 Tuesday, so I said yes.

Don't go see this if you dislike horror.

Korean shows can can be really addictive.. I need subs of course.. Gonna watch this one before hitting the sack..

Black Swan : a load of psuedo-Freudian tosh, i.e hysterical bint just needs a good seeing to! Offensive, lazy twaddle.

Natalie Portman was good as an actress, not so as a balerina. Her arms were leaden, and about as expressive as tree trunks. They should have hired a real balerina.

it's even worse than the trailer implies.

Reminds me of The Shadowless Sword. Going just by the trailer, Blades of Blood looks like it might be better. Koreans sure do kick some ass with swords, don't they?

That one's on the fantasy/mythical martial arts breed yeah? Blades of Blood feels more believable. and set in historical past. The story line of BoB is typical of Asian feudal war movies, with its own little variation here and there to keep things interesting. The costume and cinematography is beautiful and the fight sequences are not bad. Has the typical qualities of successful (not incredible) clan war movie.

These first person narrative kind of shows seem to be quite a trend for some years?

HereAfter. Not too bad, but way too long and boring at times.
One of the best crime/thrillers I've seen in a while, and from one of the best Korean directors..

A (homosexual) King, his Queen, his chief bodyguard, and their relationship. *Still on a Korean drama addiction*

those condescending dimwits (1965)

Tron Legacy. One of the most boring films I've watched in years.

Brothers
True Grit...it was really good. It was great to see the Coens direct something a little less demanding on the viewer than their two previous films.

The Adjustment Bureau
Based on a story by Phillip K Dick, the chemistry between Matt Damon and Emily Blunt sparkles.

Downloaded 127 Hours, Hereafter, and The Fighter, burning them onto DVD right now. Probably going to watch them in the next few days. Last great film I watched was The Godfather Part II. The world was robbed of John Cazale. I wondered why he didn't do many films, found out he died of bone cancer.

The Rite -- saw this two days ago, amazingly scary shit by Hopkins! Highly recommended!

Battle LA -- Hated it! Although I love the genre of world-destruction, alien and whatnot, but this was cliche to the extreme! Ugh!

Investigating Sex (2001)
Just got home from seeing Rango. I liked it a lot, but I expected to love it. It's an animation for grown-ups, young children will easily get bored I think.
