Very sharp green and Orange Blossom opening...almost vetiver green, Dries down quickly to warm benzoin, beeswax, and orange blossom. I like it, but it loses its uniqueness
I am a fan of Montales, having Black Aoud, Dark Aoud, Cuir d'Arabie, Louban, and Red Aoud. This is a variation on the Black Aoud fragrance, minus the blast of oud, being replaced by a blast of...
This sweet cherry honeyed fragrance is not bad at all. Powdery vibe going on with this one. Kind of reminds me of Pure Havane minus the powdery vibe. I detect the hay which gives this a slight...
Frapin 1270 is a delicious gourmandish scent. The sweetness is soft, yet creamy, caramely with some nuts in the middle. Overall, it is warm, boozy, and intoxicating with a nice vanilla drydown....
I think the Academy was on crack when they decided to give Melissa Leo an Oscar for such average acting. Christian Bale on the other hand was brilliant. He totally overclassed Wahlberg.

totally agreed, and the movie, in general , is overrated , and to set the record straight, I love boxing
Shooter (Mark Wahlberg) I watched this when it was first released, but it was on TV last night and worth a second watch. The Fighter, never been sooooo bored with a film for a long time - way too hyped up
^ I agree Craig. SHOOTER is definitely much more interesting than THE FIGHTER.
Anyhows, just finish watching this one from (wow) 11 years ago.... Still can't believe it is 2011, I'm aware of time passing, it just never feels that long...
Tonight i saw "The Way". It is one of those shows that (cliche as it sounds) makes one self-reflect, young or old. Simple, inspiring, and heart-warming story revolving around pilgrimage - specifically the Camino. I really love how the relationships between the main characters build up, and I really like the choice of characters. It's very believable. Martin Sheen and son team.
"You don't choose your life (Dad). You live one." - I really like this quote...
F. Murray Abraham is off the hook in this film. I only knew him as the guy that gets thrown out of the helicopter in Scarface. I didn't know he had so much immense talent.
Best movie I've seen in a long time. Some of the acting done by the Hmong cast is quite poor, but I think it works in this case. Adds a level of rawness or authenticity to the film.
SUCKER PUNCH and I hate to say very much about it it's so unique and I can't imagine it's going to be terribly popular but it's an amazing achievement I'll just indicate one high point to watch for: there is a scene with a dragon that's worth more alone than what maybe a handful of typical movies these days might come across with.
Really? Dossier K. is distributed in Singapore? It's a Belgian movie where they speak Flemish
We can get it on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Dossier-K-NEW-Cu...ht_1835wt_1141
. We do have a few specialized import shops here that carry or (in most cases) can source for the less common titles but they cost more. Most malls here only carry the popular and mainstream English-speaking ones and some EU-speaking ones. Porn is the only one you will not be able to find being sold here, but for everything else,it shouldn't be too hard to find or get sourced for. I saw the Memory of a Killer (the alzheimer's case) and was recommended Dossier k. Enjoyed them both! I only understand the English subs of course.
Autoreiji/Outrage
This one should be more well-known internationally. If mobster/gangster (in this case Yakuza) movies are your thing... This one's great entertainment value. I actually prefer these sort of Japanese movies as compared to their quirky, fantasy-like, or art-house sort.
(You could can search for a trailer with subtitles, I didn't find one, i didn't search too hard though)

It is more 'complicated' that i expect..like an onion layer upon layer upon layer...umm
Burlesque, was disappoined, I expected better, to me it was mainly Christina singing, she's great, but I wanted to see more of
Cher and her side kick, I can't remember his name, he was in the devil wears prada.
I really like the Coen Brothers. They got this moodiness to the ones I've seen. Would it be noir, slightly modernized noir? Not sure, I'm bad with genres. I wasn't huge on the Big Lebowski (I remember I got it online, it wouldn't have made it to screen here for obvious reasons.)that LiveJazz had mentioned couple of days ago, but Fargo and No Country For Old Men, I really really enjoyed to watch again.
It was technically very good, in terms of photography, and making a decently engrossing movie from a very, very simple premise: train on the loose, people in danger, chase train down, heroes stop train, the end. Not something to see more than once, but decent.
