Knight and Day, watched last night. I've never been a fan of Tom Cruise or Cameron Diaz, but this wasn't a bad action film to pass a couple of hours.

Just watched the passionate and utterly brilliant last episode of Rainer-Werner Fassbinder's Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980)

Very good and very faithful to what actually happened as described by the survivors.

The Shining

OMG, it was my 3rd time seeing it, and each and every time I see it the film holds me in a trance. One of my favorite Kubrick films and gosh it was hard to go to sleep last night...I was terrified when I turned the lights off.

Watched this last night and it was far better than I expected.

No idea why it didn't show the picture. I've just posted the link again and it's the same code as it was before

An old (1946) B&W classic, a film adaption of Somerset Maughm's book The Razor's Edge staring Tyrone Power, Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb, Ann Baxter, Herbert Marshall and John Payne. Man finding himself. Very good!

Poor Ty. He didn't know when this pic was snapped 12 years later in 1958, but the on-set heart attack that floored him as shown in this pic while filming Solomon and Sheba led to his death 4 hours later:

Never Let Me Go

OMG, what a sad, heavy film. I came home and curled up into a fetal position for a 1/2 hour after watching it. Seriously.

The Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In dubbed into English. Wanted to catch it in a semi- original form as I understand there will be an American made re-make (which will likely over-glam and ruin it)

Ondine, very good film above..

Just sat through Cats N Dog's 2 with my cousin and kids. Very funny, far better than the low ratings it is receiving.

F. W. Murnau's Faust in the Hedvig Eleonora church, accompanied by improvisational music on the church organ. It was fantastic.

Waltz with Bashir - stunning, but also upsetting. If the only animated films you've seen have been from Disney and the like you should take a look at this.

K_R I saw a Japanese equivalent to The Tournament, it's called Battle Royale. Not sure if you might have heard of it.
