Sundays in New York..........what can I say, me being an old movie junkie...loved it, funny.

X-Men First Class. It was OK - better than Origins, although that's not saying much. Parts of it reminded me of Austin Powers! Michael Fassbender (Magneto) was the best thing in it.

I think Nine Dead was greatly inspired by this one, and they all resemble this show called Cube...

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

Ever seen the Lone Wolf and Cub films, MFJ? Definitely my favorite samurai films, after Ran.

Limitless-- You'll enjoy this Hollywood flick, especially if you're A Discovery Channel's Pill-head nerd into Sci-fi fantasy.--Well done.

Luther--Thank you, Netflix. You can see it immediately on the computer.-- BBC--Great cop show ( no cliches.) Season 1. More to come sometime this decade.

Intelligence--Canadian spy show, yeah? Canceled after 2 seasons. Guess it was too intelligent, yeah?

And while SHERLOCK is on for the first season (3 episodes) which I've already seen, it is supposed to continue and air on the BBC in Autumn. I wonder when it'll get on cable or DVD?

Cheers,

Mario

Finally managed to watch "Mon oncle d'Amérique" (1980) directed by Alain Resnais in full.

Another Resnais masterpiece to be re-watched over and over again.

Whenever we travel, my daughter watches BONES. This trip was Season 5. When I stop driving, I watch it too.

The Green Lantern

It was dreadful. Still, Ryan Reynolds is smokin'.
Life as we know it.....really sweet movie.

Stepbrothers, with my son........funny

Loved it!!!

The Tree of Life

Unbelievably avant-garde for a major release movie. The acting (especially the children in the film) is brilliant and it's stuffed to the gills with beautiful cinematography and gushing with raw emotions and big, deep themes (life, death, being a child, being a parent)...I left feeling emotionally exhausted.

Luther season 1 was GREAT and the first of the Season 2 episodes (on Graboid) are riveting as well.

Must research Intelligence.

This weekend watched all Season 1 & 2 of the British series Misfits Some very funny stuff there.
Could some kind British person tell me if there is a name for the kind of accent the character Kelly has? I need a translator/subtitles, at times.

Red White & Blue

The acting and dialogue are kind of trash, but this film is actually quite good. Certainly not a date movie!

I agree, the plot deserved much better.

Tonight, a really decent French hiking-horrors flick.

Didn't find a trailer with English subs, but I doubt it is needed to grasp the video:

Season 1 of '12 oz Mouse' [adultswim]

OMG, this animated TV show is the most bizarre cartoon I've ever watched. David Lynch-ian in some parts.

Dirty Money (2008)

Antichrist

Wow. What beautiful cinematography. The last 30 minutes were so unsettling though, I had to fast forward through it. Von Trier really gets under your skin, doesn't he?

Morning Glory with Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams
post #652 of 4033
Mmmmmm.....Ryan Reynolds! He's a much better actor than he was able to show in Green Lantern. Still, very easy on the eyes.

I watched Greenfingers the other night with a younger Clive Owens.

Sopranos season 4. And Heat.

Bride Wars-Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.....hilarious
The Ugly Truth-Gerard Butler

The Green Hornet

I had no idea, until the very end credits rolled, that this was directed by Michel Gondry. It was, to say the least, not as impressive as his other films. Funny, silly, slightly entertaining...The End.

I am watching The Mechanic right now . Not that great really ....... I'm typing this when I'm supposed to be glued to the screen!
