Ted Lapidus Black Soul - I'm Liking This!

I have been wearing this now for a few days - granted the humidity here does not fit this fall scent.

This is a very rich scent that is deep in its notes. It reminds me of taking all the sweet and citrus out of 1 Million leaving behind rich scent.

There is a sweet feel from the medjool dates, raisin, and saffron but its more refine then 1 Million.

The base is so deep with Cinnamon and this new Ambrocenide note which from what I read was created by Symrise that is a synthetic aroma molecule with woody and ambery facets developed from natural cedarwood oil. The base really pumps it heart out.

Reminds me a little of Desir De Rochas at first, then it gets more bubble gum (Bazooka Joe, I'd say)

i'm surprised though that only two reviews are on this scents review page!

This perfume is my homage to America. There is to my nose a definite wintergreen note which is very prominent, especially in the drydown. The fond memories of my visits to the USA, a very different world from Europe - with very different smells ; cinnamon candy, root beer, grape jelly, Aim toothpaste, etc.,etc. All quintessentially American and wonderfully captured in this fragrance !
