Good morning! Chilly weather, late night yesterday, early morning today and I needed something soft, warm and comforting, so today is Parfum Sacré.

I have the EdP in this packaging, which I suspect is the reformulation, but it's the only version I have smelled so far. Anyone who can weigh in on that?

Oh, and I need to try Etro Heliotrope!

Good morning everyone.
Today I'm in Six Scents No 1 - one of my favorites for hot summer

Guerlain's Shalimar vintage Parfum. Much earthier and less sweet than one would expect.

Tonight will be the delicious

Oops! I also replied to the Tuesday SotD! See what happens when it's not locked?
Anyway, today I'm in Laila by Geir Ness. Apparently, the scent of Norway! A little more white floral than what I usually like, but it's so light that I can tolerate beautifully, it without nausea/headache (which, unfortunately, heavy white florals give me).

Infusion d'Iris
Hello everyone!

Thanks to a thoughtful and generous Basenotes benefactrix, I'm in the outrageously gorgeous and rosey Peonies by Ava Luxe, and I might just cry because this isn't available any more.

It's absolutely wonderful - lush and fresh and dewey, a peony you just want to bury your face in and inhale the spicy cool creaminess....aah! Does anyone know if Serena's Pivoine Rose is similar?

Y'all have a fantastic day!

I was going to post here about my perfume sniffing Monday in NYC but realized I had just toooo much to say...so added it to my blog. Um, be warned: it took effort to reduce it to the maximum of 10,000 words. Brave souls who are curious enough to face this bloated and verbose entry may find it here:
http://www.basenotes.net/entries/117...niffing-in-NYC

Today I'm in my newly-purchased L'Ombre Dans L'Eau. Love it!
Klaire, are you wearing Coco Mademoiselle in EDP or EDT?
We're scent sisters, maybe not twins, depending on concentration
I am wearing Coco Mademoiselle EDT from a sample, trying it for the first time.

In an alternative universe, where my parents would care more about my fragrances then my grades in school, on the same day that they allowed me to drink coffee (due to super low blood pressure pressure) they would also take me out and buy me a big bottle of this, just for lifting my spirits! It feels like a gift that came in, ahem, 20 years late...

Lovely fragrance, and I usually even don't care for litchi, but this one is lovely. A very good one for Mademoiselle in my book. I guess Madame will change for the evening

30 Roses, you bet I'm there!
Today I am wearing Cabaret Gris today, the first time this YEAR. Never would have known that if I hadn't started tracking my wears. It is lovely, I must say.

To bed last night: EL Alliage.

I'm wearing Paco Rabanne Calandre today. Beautiful!

The Calandra Lark, Melanocorypha calandra
post #31 of 59
Shycat, nice to see you again.
Haunani, isn't Calandre wonderful?

I'm in Chergui today. I gotta tell you all (to vent)... I'm really missing summer here, hearing about the searing hot days everywhere else. Yesterday was so chilly and damp that by the end of the day, when I was grocery shopping, my fingers were white and numb. I had to ask the produce guy to pick out a garlic bulb for me because I couldn't feel them with my frigid fingers! Poor circulation, yes, but being cold really makes it evident. Waaaa! Such a crybaby. Anyway, hoping Chergui will help keep me toasty.
Have a great day, all!

Super busy day and late to post, but I'm wearing Royal Bain de Caron.
So many new choices due to Boston haul, it's taken me all day to settle on a fragrance. Accidentally got some Diptyque Ofresia on me, so I'll just go with that.

Take 'er easy, kids.

SoTD (all day!) Mitsuoko EDP... was in the mood for that lovely one. The EDP is quite strong to my nose and in a very, very good way.
SotE (third fragrance of the day) is Yves Rocher's Rose Absolute (or Absolue, on some bottles). This is very cinnamony tonight. It must be the warm weather bringing the spiciness out more intensely.
Today - Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere. Very, very, yummy. This evening, In Black by J Del Pozo from a sample (as usual! I have gone sample-crazy).

My first Dior: Hypnotic Poison, a stunning oriental vanilla.

Per Fragrantica.net:Hypnotic Poison by Dior is a oriental vanilla fragrance for women. Hypnotic Poison was launched in 1998. The nose behind this fragrance is Annick Menardo. Top notes are allspice, apricot, plum and coconut; middle notes are tuberose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose and brazilian rosewood; base notes are sandalwood, almond and vanilla.

Going away for a long weekend. Packed a bunch of samples. See you all on Monday!

It is actually cooler outside than in the house tonight. And, matter of fact, very nice to be below that 65 degrees F mark.

Busy day for me, I wore Leonara by Parfums Leonard, a soft floriental with jasmine, sandalwood and benzonilla.

Agree about Safran Troublant. Nice job on 30R. blog about your NYC sniffing. Delighted to read our Boston gang memoires.

SOTE is vintage Rochas Femme EDT.

Busy day for me too, I barely got in before the clock strikes midnight! I'm wearing Fresh Strawberry Flowers today.
Hello!!!

Posting a little too late in the day. Was Basenotes down yesterday? I could not log in last night. My SOTD yesterday was Chanel 18 and today Chanel 28 La Pausa. Both lovely fragrances, too bad they are short lived, although I can still smell some traces of La Pausa
post #58 of 59
I'm wearing Angel today and boy does it smell good.
I wore Happy for the evening today. I knew I had to deal with friends' nasty grill and will need something I won''t feel too bad getting smoky. Surprisingly, it withstood!
