Which do you prefer and why? They're both urban, sexy and sweet with a vanilla tinge

I think Bvlgari Black is more interesting, but Body Kouros is much more wearable.

Black will get you confused glances, Kouros will get you touched.

Wow. This one is a tie for me. Can't pick one over the other. Kind of both live in the same place for me.

I guess Black is a bit more of a classic; BK a bit more modern.

Bvlgari Black.

If you define chic as something that doesn't incommode others but within that can be as weird as it wants....that's Black. That's probably why Bono wears it. Beyond that, it's just a hell of a fragrance who's quality is best understood by smelling it on others

It's a decent fragrance for sure, but he blunt cotton candy radiance of Body Kouros become
tiresome fairly rapidly, and there's definitely nothing mysterious (nor particularly urban) about it.

+2. Black is better.

Voted for Bvgari Black.

I voted for body kouros although black is good too. Its really a toss up.

I don't get Black. Some rubber and a tiny bit of vanilla.

Bvlgari Black is nice, but it's one of those "unstable" fragrances that smell significantly different on me every time I put them on. Body Kouros is not as an interesting of a scent, but it's still sexy, strong and lasts very well compared to Bvlgari black. I would say Body Kouros wins in every category, except originality I guess. That is not to say Body Kouros is generic, or Bvlgari black smells better than it in anyway, it's just something hard to compare to many other fragrances, it doesn't even smell the same everytime I put it on as I said.

I personally refer BK because the black tea accord in Black kinda gets on my nerves. Plus, Black is a "close to the skin" scent and I don't like my scent to be anything near subtle.

JonB,

Keep a nose out for the birch tar, something vivid plush green, the smile of a big solid amber, and the bitter-dust of fresh rubber.

I had bought Black but it smelled too feminine. Gave it to a girlfriend. Vote goes to BK.

I like BK, but its blunt cotton candy radiance becomes tiresome, and there's definitely nothing mysterious about it. It can be a nice comfort type fragrance, and while I think of BK as modern, I don't really perceive it as being all that urban, or polished.

I even find BK too sweetly non-descript / non-compelling on my girlfriend, but it makes a particularly great room spray.

Either way, BK is a quality fragrance. One of the best of its kind. I prefer it to Guerlain's Bois d'Armenie (also by Menardo) which is similar and uses some of the finest materials available.

this exactly. I'm a bit biased though because I can't stand unchecked sweetness.

I prefer Bvlgari Black for most of the reasons that have already been stated.

Bulgari Black without a doubt.
Wow! This really IS split down the middle....my vote for Body Kouros just made it 20 to 20!

Incidently, if this poll had been about regular Kouros vs. dog poo, I would have voted for dog poo.

Black, no contest: mysterious, urban, polished and still playfully sexy.

Body Kouros does not work on my skin at all. I can handle the gourmand sweetness, but somehow I end up smelling a bit of baby products. I actually have an aversion to this one. For this type of scent, I much prefer Lolita Lempicka au masculin.

Oh yeah just tied it back up with a vote for Body Kouros. I have owned both and definitely prefer BK to Black.

Body Kouros is the winner for me.
I didn't like Black in such a way that I didn't even want to test this on my skin. Smelling it on paper was enough.
But I see Bulgari Black is a popular one on the forum, so this will get a skin test.

I also have to add that I find Body Kouros sexy, but in a dirty way.
It's the smell of a pimp or a "player".

Bvlgari Black for me.....Gary

I enjoy both of them, Here are my opinions:

Body Kouros for me! It was my signature scent many years ago and I really like(d) it. Like it still. Very enjoyable soft, warm, sexy smell and nice memories...

I voted for BK as I find BB hard to detect after a few hours.

The rubber note that Bvlgari Black has, never sat well with me, however, time I tried Bvlgari Black was quite long ago when I was less experienced, or to be more correct - inexperienced whatsoever, thus mayhaps this time my opinion might change as it has changed about Fahrenheit.

Out of these two, I prefer Bvlgari Black for the more complex, mature and classy edge
post #35 of 41
I have no use for Bulgari Black's rubber note. Body Kouros in a walk.
Battle of the Annick Menardos, I pick BK as it was my signature scent for a few years, received nothing but positive feedbacks from this one through the years.
Body Kouros cause it's more sexy and pleasant to me.
Body Kouros for me. The leather note in Bvlgari Black's drydown is annoying to me.
