Silver Mountain Water

Well, I don't know if anybody will be affected or will care, but I thought I'd just share this with you. I was at Saks Fifth Avenue today looking for a fragrance (which they were out of, thank you Sephora), and a very nice sales representative handed me four carded Creed samples.

They were Tabarome Millesime, Virgin Island Water, Royal Water, and Silver Mountain Water.

As I was returning home, however, I found the Silver Mountain Water to be misspelled... "Silver Montain Water". I don't know what to think. I wouldn't imagine anybody would fake a free vial of Creed sample, but wouldn't somebody notice such an obvious misspelling, especially in the factory?

I just thought I should tell you guys, I know a lot of you have had experience with these kinds of things.

It's a simple misprint, nothing more.

I'm sure it's just a misprint or an innocent mispelling. They probably sell more of their product to English speaking countries, but French is their first language. If you got it in Saks, I would rule out fake. Who's going to fake test vials that are meant to be given away?

Yes, yes, I'm sorry if I implied I was worried it was fake, I just thought I'd post it up.

Stick it on Ebay as a one off limited edition Creed sample and someone is certain to pay good money for it

Interesting! After reading this I went and pulled my latest sample vial of SMW that I got at Saks. Same spelling "Montain".

Creed is right, you all are wrong. They've been spelling "mountain" "montain" since 1760 BC.

The French word for mountain is "montagne".

This may explain the misprint.
