Boadicea the Victorious....anyone?

Has anyone sampled this line? It is available through Luckyscent. The bottles are beautiful, but what about the juice? Let me know your opinions.

I sniffed several at Henri Bendel (NYC) a few weeks ago. They weren't as bad as I expected -- I can barely get past the pretentious brand name, and I find the packaging to be rather tacky -- but most of them were very "safe"/ordinary smelling. of the ones I tried, only "Invigorating" seemed interesting. I recall it was a fairly rich, aromatic scent that I wouldn't mind wearing. But I wouldn't pay close to the asking price for it. (Disclaimer: I haven't sniffed the whole line; there may be treasures!)

I've had a fairly good go at giving this line a try and to be honest, my conclusion is that the entire line is a triumph of style over substance.

The problem is the price point.

It's just too expensive for a line with no history whatsoever. Yes the pewter flasks are eye-catching and impressive looking, but I just don't think the fragrances themselves warrant the kind of price they are asking.

Selfridges were selling some of these for half-price, several weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to persuade me to invest in a bottle (or two).

I've tried quite a few and the only one that I liked and purchased was Energiser, a lovely fresh grapefruit ideal for Summer. I agree the prices are hgh and you are more than likely paying more for the posh bottle than the actual contents, but on this occasion I thought £85 was worth it for 50ml. It's not as bad as some other companies charge for 50ml. I purchased mine from ROULLIER WHITE

I sniffed Energizer, which I found okay, but somewhat bland (and I normally LOVE any citrus!) and Alluring and Divine, which both smelled too perfumey, chemical and run-of-the-mill for my taste.

Lucky Scent also marked a bunch of these down a while back and they don't appear to be carrying the whole line anymore. I sampled several of them when Lucky Scent first got them and found them unexceptional and overpriced.

So, are we saying there are no hidden gems in this line? Anyone recommend anything at all?

I sampled only Nobile last year and that was enough for me. Worst rose dominant scent I have come across. I will refrain from anything else in this hyped up house.

Tried: Refreshing, Majestic, Intense, Seductive,Alluring ,Powerful and a few others I can't remember. Didn't really care for any.

I've tried many but none of them impressed me with the exception of Complex. This is like the nuclear bomb. A blast of (extremely) bitter green notes on a straight forward animalic leather accord and some violet that stays quite linear for hours and hours. Just think about a Nasomatto remix version of Bandit without flowers. Loud, overwhelming, monolitic and uncompromising. Far from being wearable yet something to experience.

I`m frustrated about this house. I ordered a month ago a sample set at their site. Until today i haven`t receive any shipping confirmation. And they simply don`t reply on any of the emails the leave for contact. Also, you notice silence at their facebook page when you ask them to get in contact. Awful consumer service, beware when purchasing directly from them.

I'm with alfarom here. Complex is on my to-buy list. Unwearable but compelling. The loudest perfume I've ever smelled. It opens with an apparent blast of poisonous rotten herbs (I'm thinking hemlock) that turns out to be a tannery full of newly treated hides. At the same time extremely chemical and extremely animalic. Scary. It's not disgusting, as, say, the wonderful Secretions Magnifique, it's just the sheer power of it that makes it unwearable.

I tried a couple of others (energizer) but wasn't as impressed. though it's hard to smell anything else after you've sprayed complex.

I have Explorer and Warrior. Explorer is a grim citrus, almost unwearable but intriguing; my bottle had maybe matured and seems less bitter than hen I first had it. Warrior is a beautiful (IMO) citrus rose.
