Feminité du Bois, apparently I'm done wearing summery fragrances for this year, even if the weather is rather warm. I've been breaking out a lot of my fall staples lately.

Sophi, what a lovely bouquet! It put a smile on my face.

Candy Perfume Boy, you are so cute, making us figure out your SotD like that.

Happy Birthday, Nostalgie!

I’m wearing Estee Lauder’s Pure White Linen today, the staple of my stable.

Happy birthday, Nostalgie!

Sharing the house with our darling Roberto in Caron, Montaigne for me. It's been a while since I wore it last and it's even more beautiful than I remember. I must wear it more often, it's a crime to let it languish.

Best to all!

Happy Birthday Nostalgie!

I love DSH Route d'Iris, excellent choice. Montaigne is wonderful too tdem, & like you I haven't worn it in a while. BUT...I have been craving Chamade of late, so I'm scent twins with Evangeline in Chamade (edt). I go nuts spraying the edt.

My daughter & I had a perfume battle last night. We were being very silly. We grabbed the "stinkiest" perfume, from the other persons perspective, and tried to spray them with it. She got me with a Bath & Body Works Exotic Coconut body spray and I thought I really got her with Tom Ford Black Orchid. Turns out, the Black Orchid smells wonderful on her. I handed her the bottle for her to keep.

I can't imagine having to sneak figs! That's my favorite note.

I'm sampling Melissa Flagg Hazel's today. Very summery - reminds me a bit of Bronze Goddess without the sweetness.

Haunani Yay for house buddies last night! It was my first try with a Caron.

I'm in Fendi's Theorema Esprit d'Ete today.

Good morning! Brezza di Mare for me. This is a very nice marine fragrance with a watermelon note. Great for a hot August day! Of course it is just going to wash off in my water exercise class, but that will be an opportunity for reapplication! :-)

((inees)) These moments of revelation are so helpful!

Happy Birthday Nostalgie!

Today I'm wearing a sample of CDG Series 2 Red: Carnation. Although it is strong, it is not harsh and smells more like our actual garden carnations than all the others I've tried, including Bellodgia, LV Garofano and SMN Garofano; it has that slightly vanillic, creamy undertone of the real flowers. I have to wait to see how it dries down but so far, so good.

Giordani man by Oriflame :with its refreshing, luxurious notes of Italian neroli and bergamot blended with black pepper and marine accords, Warm sandalwood and musk give it a distinctively amber character.

kewart Re: Is global warming a myth???? Not around here! Wish I could send you a bit of our summer, we've got enough to go around!

Today wearing again Fiori de Capri by Carthusia. Launched in 1390 according to basenotes??!! Some days it's very soft on me, other days (today) it's got that sharp lily of the valley note. (I prefer it when it shows its softer side!)
Lily of the valley, wild carnation, blended together with sandalwood, ylang-ylang and oak

Jo Malone Orange Blossom today, and thanks to an awesome swap with Sophi (I'm pretty sure I got the better of the deal) Vol de Nuit tonight.
Happy Birthday Nostalgie!!!! I hope you are having a lovely day.

My eyes have been super red and bothering me for the last few days. I went to the doctor today, so I have all kinds of eye drops. In the mean time, I had to throw away all my make up (sigh), just in case.

My SOTD was Caron's Eau Reglisse and my SOTE is (don't laugh) Notorious. I just got it at Marshall's after the doctor's appointment. I had to reward myself with a little something.

A/C blasting the heat away so..a mid-Summer Vintage Tabarome night tonight
post #50 of 53
CRose and other USAers -- let me tell you that I smelled autumn in the air first time this year today. It is coming! Although we will still be having a few 90F days ahead, it is coming and I can't wait.

Chanel Beige was my SotD. Oh how I love thee! To paraphrase IKEA's motto a few years ago: Do not be bold, be beige! And I would go Red, Beige and Blue every day, if I could. Will be buying a smaller bottle soon -- as soon as it is available.

Miss Tao wrote to me -- she is busy but otherwise doing just dandy. Preparing for a trip, still baking on Facebook or whatever. Oh how I miss her!

Yes it is a myth.
(Even though it was somewhere around 100 degrees F outside today ,and no A/C in my car )
scent of the day was my newly arrived Pure Turquoise by RL

Tried to post about 12 hours ago but server issues ate my post

Hope you had a lovely day, Nostalgie! Happy Birthday.

My SOTD was vintage Diorissimo EDT.

Tonight- testing Touch by Fred Hayman, of which even one spray is turning out to be far too 1980's Joan Collins-y on my skin. The mid notes were the the nicest. If I wore this to work, I think people would cower under their desks.
