Any takers?
I am awash in scent tonight...my samples arrived today and I immediately partook of the aldehydic Le Parfum, C'est Ma Vie ( perfume is my life?)
Nose to wrist all afternoon. My immediate impression was a tie dyed version of Chanel no. 5, probably because of the aldehydes, but this has an earthy, natural quality to it that I find very appealing as compared to the tighter vibration of Chanel. Other impressions I have that are layered with the refined floral top are those of sweet grass and mint, of all things. I may be dreaming, but that is what comes to mind. This is a fragrance that makes me feel very pretty, but not overdone. I love it. I am going to Boston in a few weeks and a bottle of this may have to come home with me.
Rumi is my next favorite, but only after about 15 minutes of drydown time. For me it went on rather dirty and I was taken aback. Right now it is nestled in my inner elbow and reminiscent of Nirmala - definite goddess energy emerging. Barefoot goddess.
Rose Tattoo: this is a unique one, is there such a thing as a "green leather?" If so, this is how I would describe Rose Tattoo. It also gives me an aquatic impression, there is a transparency about it that prevents the leather from being dirty or heavy.
That's what I've got anyway....I may be losing my mind, it has been so long since I have approached new fragrances with any real hunger and I am really pleased with these samples for awakening that in me. Would love to hear any other impressions from fellow basenoters. I have two more samples to explore: dark earth and cathedral...hmmm...sounding gothic.

Excellent perfumer and many are unique, not reminding you of anything else out there.
