another across-the-board Creed price increase

couldn't find anything about this by doing a search...

a couple months ago I got Acier Aluminium from Creed Boutique for $130, now it's $150. I also got Green Irish Tweed from them recently for $250, now it sells for $270. And of course Aventus (4.0oz) is introduced at $280.

surprising, given the fall in the euro recently.

amazing, that in this economy, they can raise the price of their luxury product this much and still be topping sales charts. they must be good or something.

Well I guess since the majority of Creed's customers are Dukes and Earls and famous celebrities, any price increase is just a drop in the bucket to them.

I guess Creed really did get pissed at being sold at Costco and K-Mart.

In fairness to Creed, there have been price increases lately for most of the big niche houses.
Malle, Le Labo, Durbano had a ridiculous price increase this year.

Oh well, money will never buy good taste.

They could charge a thousand and someone will buy it, just maybe not enough to keep them afloat.

The Creeds being sold to the plebes at places like Saks, Neiman's, Bergdorf's etc. are their low-end stuff anyways. The good stuff is custom made for their exclusive customers. Who they are is anyone's guess.

I have to admit - I felt tons more ridiculous buying my minuscule bottle of Nasomatto Hindu Grass - with the bogus wooden cap that's bigger than the juice - than I ever felt about any Creed, no matter how overpriced.

Ah, the folly of fragrance. But if food didn't do crap (literally), and we had no logical need for it, I would still want to consume every wonderful ethnic cuisine I could find.
