Fresh clean smelling edts

What is the note/ingredients which make some colognes smell fresh & clean ? Is it cardamom or something similiar?

Any recommendations on fresh clean smelling edts (but not sweet or floral ones - just fresh & clean) please ?

I couldn't tell you which notes (there are many) give off the fresh and clean impression aside from vetiver and a variety of citruses, but try Acqua di Parma's Mirto di Panarea from their Blu Mediteterraneo line. Its fresh and different

Mugler cologne is good for that green soapy clean smell (ala Irish Spring)
