Not all that bad. Reminds a lot of good old Hugo by Hugo Boss, equally synthetic, however appealing non the less. Longevity is ok and the scent is quite cheap so it's a good bargain. Daily,...
I first tried the aftershave version back in 1991 when it was widely available at every department store. I became a great admirer. Gorgeous scent. Over the years it became hard to find and...
I'm a huge fan of this line but By Night Black is probably the most disappointing delivery among their range. I'm used to either their thickness (Ambra Mediterranea, Versilia Platinum, Versilia...
I've tried this many times, I never understood why it stands out or sells so much. That bitter orange is repulsive and disgusting. This smells almost as bad as Guerlains Vetiver.
Wearing vintage Coty L'Aimant, which felt just like the soft, but elegant and poised kind of thing I needed today, getting up very early after four hours of sleep and a few glasses of wine.
Good morning everyone I see I forgot to log in yesterday. Had a nice day visiting a girl in my studygroup and her 1 month old babygirlToday I have an appointment for the Eye-specialist just to check on how the eye has improved. The rest of the day will probably be all about my books...Only one and a half week left before the oral exam now! :O Sotd is Vol de nuit. It's been ages and the "reunion" is all good!
Ineespenes - all the best re. your eye ! I hope it has improved a great deal and is better . Keep us updated !
It's late, I am an insomniac so here I am pestering all of you !
Re. Hermes today ......I will have to dig around my " Perfume Graveyard" located at the back of the closet ....... if I remember , I have 'some' Hermes Caleche Soie de Whatsit somewhere.............if not, I'll have to wear something else in honor of Duckie.
I am in the same scent with Duc This is one mini by Kelly Caleche perfume that i have..and i have just remembered that i have a mini decant of
Hiris !!!
WoW!Thank you Musse for reminding me
I will wear the afternoon
I'm joining in the Hermes theme today with Paprika Brasil.
Notes include pimento, clove, paprika, iris, green leaves, reseda, ember wood.
It was a feisty little thing when first applied, but it calmed down considerably within an hour or two. It smells like iris or a light leather to me now. I'm fond of iris but not too keen on leather.Paprika Brasil stays very close to the skin, so I have to keep lifing my wrist to smell the apllication there. I also applied it to chest and neck with dabs rather than sprays, as I have it in a 2ml vial tester I received when buying Hermes Pamplemouse Something*. I love their vials - very elegant.
I won't take the trouble to wear Paprika Brasil again. There are other iris frags that I prefer, and other Hermes scents that I like much better than this.
*The Hermes Pamplemouse is strangely lovely but I get negative reactions when wearing it. If I'm in a lift I can see people turning away in disgust - they think it's bad body odour! That's how I smell the Guerlain Pamplemouse Aqua Allegoria, so I know how they feel.
Happy Birthday to my friend ComDiva and many fragrant wishes to you.
Hermes Rouge Delicate for me today.
Last night I was craving vanilla -- believe it or not! -- and it was the hottest day of the year so far (96F with high humidity). Lemme tell you guys -- this is one of the signs of autumn, my cravings know my seasons better than my brain or skin. I caved in and wore La Maison de la Vanille Tahiti (of course there is AC running in the house).
I am joining the Hermes day with Brin de Reglisse from a sample. It keeps on getting warmer (I found it too dry upon spraying) and I like it more and more as the day progresses.
I'm not participating in the Hermes day but my husband is in Terre de Hermes today.
I'm wearing Icon by Gorilla Perfume (previously in the Lush retro range). It's very churchy and orange-y at the same time. In a good way. Extremely strong at 20% so it really feels like wearing pure perfume.

Pia you have no idea how excited I am about the whole Gorilla Perfume malarky, I've only tried Lust so far and I'm smitten! Can't wait to try the others and the revived B Scents.
Hermes is one of my favorite houses, so easy to join synch Friday. Today i'll spritz Hermes Caleche Eau Delicate, soft floral and a cedar note that does not pester Vetiver Tonka for the evening.
Happy Birthday ComDiva!!
Oops! I forgot about SF... This morning I'm in Habit Rouge to test its all-weather, all-wardrobe, all-climate versatility (so far so good as I already know its unisex qualities) but this afternoon I'll put on some Equipage and be in synch! I think the Equipage will be a nice transition from the HR anyway.
I have no Hermes scents, forgot to spritz before leaving the house and just found an empty decant of Theorema and eeking out the residual oils just so I don't go scentless. lol
What a great Synchronized Day! I love Hermès, really, really love Hermès It`s one of the predominant houses at my wardrobe (the first one is Dior). I didn`t knew that today was an Hermès Day here, but ocasionally i choosed one Hermès to wear today and now I`m feeling lucky =) My fragrance today is also Rouge Eau Delicate. I did wanted somethin cozy, and Rouge Delicate it`s to me a strange cozy scent, a dry, resinous, woody one, but very soft. What amazes me is that last year i hated this scent but i tried it again this year at a sale in a cold day and that day the scent was so gorgeous that i couldn`t stop thinking of it till i bought a bottle.
Happy Friday for all of us!
Hugs scented with Rouge Delicate []

jacona, if you have to miss the hermes, at least you have made a valiant effort to be scented with the very fabulous Theorema
I'm representing Hermes with the small amount Ambre Narguile I got at the Boston meet-up. It's actually cold (to me) today, so won't be too heavy.
Oops...forgot to wear Hermes. I will have to participate tonight.
Nostalgia by Santa Maria Novella
IMO, this is the ultimate day-at-the-country-club sort of fragrance. I always feel like a billionaire playboy, on my way to play tennis when I wear this. Of course, I was on my way to the office today...but still I felt like a million bucks. I'm glad I have a back up bottle of this. One of the few leathers I can wear in 100 degree temps.
Hello Dear BNers! I hope you are looking forward to an excellent weekend.
SOTD: Kelly Caleche EDT
Yes, I know I wore it yesterday, but I really like playing along with Scent Sync - and my only other Hermes readily accessible is 24 Faubourg, which is a bit heavy for August, I think. Perhaps one of these days, I'll dig out that sample of the Jardin sur le Nil to re-test...
Did not sleep well last night. On the edge of an important decision that affects me at work - do I follow my "gut" or not? This time, I think I should trust my instincts. Wish me luck (and strength!)
Daytime Hermes: Eau d'Orange Verte
Jauntily balancing the unisex demarcation, EdOV smells slightly more masculine (brisk, dry) in the stratosphere and slightly more feminine (sweet, fruity) down at skin level. Evening Hermes: 24 Faubourg
Its jasmine notes should dovetail nicely with the a.m. Hermes orange.
Happy Birthday, Girl with the Pretty Eyes! Here are Quarry and ComDiva in front
of the Boston Hermes store window.
No one's post is Hermes-ier than mine today. Does that make up for missing last week's synchro, Ducky?
I *thought* I spent the evening in Hidden Rose by Avril Lavigne, but it turned out it´s named Forbidden Rose, lol.
Another celebuscent we maybe don´t need, but I can honestly say I like it! Fruity-floral-vanillic candy, but there is an apple note in it that keeps the vanilla with company, and makes the scent both fresh and sweet at the same time.
do I follow my "gut" or not? This time, I think I should trust my instincts. Wish me luck (and strength!)
Yes, do follow your gut! I think it's important in life to hear that little voice. It belongs to us, it comes from a place that needs us to be happy, healthy, and safe. Do take care!
Quarry and ComDiva- you are both beautiful ! ComDiva- I hope you are having a fun day !
To honor His Royal Duckiness - I am wearing Hypnotic Poison this afternoon becasue I am Hermes- less !
I'm in Yves Rocher's rich and wonderful Iris Noir this evening. It's been a long time since I've worn it because my bottle was running low, but I ordered a replacement so I can move it back to center stage for a while. :-)

Good Luck K ! I hope you reach the right decision for you.
Woohoo! I'm scent twins this evening with TG, Roberto, Jasper, and Nukapai's hubby in Terre d'Hermes (after an unsuccessful try at Equipage, the nutmeg accord is just too heavy for this heat).
And... HB to ComDiva...
And... RainDropSparkle, hope your go-with-the-gut went well!
AND... Hope Miss MG gets some sleep! (insomnia is "overrated" is it not? Those who say "you can sleep when you're dead" are just...silly.)
I forgot to wish ComDiva a very happy birthday! (The big smiles from Quarry and ComDiva were such a cheery treat!)
Really a fabulous pic. If I could ever get my life together enough to go to a BN meet-up, I would. Looks like a great time and I'd love some face time with people who don't think this obsession is, well, obsessive...or at least they are OK with it
Raindropsparkle, to follow your gut is the best advice...today was my last day in a job I have held twice for a total of 11 years. And now I am changing depts. and am very happy about the decision. Sometimes things just drop in your lap, and you have to do what seems scary but somehow very right. Good luck with your decision.
I don't yet have any Hermes fragrances, not even a sample, but I am scent twins today with Inesspenes in Vol de Nuit.
