Good morning! My SOTD is the delicious Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune.

Notes include California Grapefruit, Italian Bergamot, Neroli, Petitgrain, Black Currant, Patchouli and Vanilla.

I can still smell last night's INSOLENCE on my arm despite a shower this morning. That didn't stop me applying a new SotD from a sample:

ETRA ETRO edt

Notes of Allspice, Jamaican pepper, geranium, Indian sandalwood, rose petals, musk, vanilla.

Green, spicy, herbal - I could eat it with a nice glas of Sauternes, though the perfume is not too sweet. If it were much sweeter than this I'd try to scrub it in the hope that it didn't linger as long as the tenacious Insolence.

I applied it almost 4 hours ago, and its distinction and character have not diminished. I hope this effect lasts all day. I'm enjoying this very much. Perhaps my now subdued but still present Insolence is lending it a touch of violet flower power, but I suspect I already find Etra Etro to be full bottle worthy.

Sestra, I love Etra! It's one of several Etro frags I own and enjoy. I'm not big on perfume layering as a rule but do make an exception with this house: Etra layered with Patchouly is an especially nice combo.

Ava Luxe Love's True Bluish Light

Enjoy the day, all!

Greetings tdem, it's lovely to see you again.

I've fallen in love with Etra on my first wear. I can't remember enjoying my own scent this much in a long time. I smell divine, if I say it myself.

I have to add that I've inadvertently combined it with last night's Insolence, a dusting of which lingers on my arm depite a shower with lightly iris-perfumed soap this morning . Etra is on my chest and neck, dabbed from a sample vial. It's an unexpectedly wonderful combination.

I have a sample of Etro Patchouly as well, so tonight I will layer that with Etra as you suggest.

I wore Ava Luxe LTBL a couple of nights ago. I expected a repeat of the night it kept me wide awake, but not so. I slept like a log after enjoying that gorgeous comforting scent. I didn't get the LTBL love before now.
My nose feels revived.

With my SIL-to be well on the mend, Bridezilla-to be in better spirits and all systems "go" for the wedding next Saturday, I still find myself anxious as heck.

Samsara EDP with all its sandalwood to make me feel calmer?

Hello everyone!

I'm in Rossy de Palma this morning.

Thanks ineespenes - I had a great day! And thanks again to everyone for wishing me well as I start another year! I'm genuinely moved by your thoughtfulness, and I'm so happy to be a part of such a wonderful community!

Y'all have a fantastic day!

After a day of checking my emails and bank statements to work out why a stray package containing perfume had landed at my doorstep and swearing blind that I was sure I hadn't ordered it and not being able to open it until the mystery was resolved I am now wearing Moschino Couture. My lovely Mum had remembered I'd complimented it on her but couldn't remember what it was at the time. She'd later tracked me down a bottle, but had such an exciting weekend she forgot to tell me to expect it!

Belated Happy Birthday, Evangeline!

Today I'm in FM Une Rose again, but this time I'm trying to slow down the development by getting more of it on clothing.

I've been getting the "server is busy, try again later" message over and over today. I hope these problems are resolved soon....

I had trouble getting on last night as well. I'm wearing Prada Infusion d'Iris today for a tea party with a dear former co-worker.

Good Evening

Trussardi Fresh is a sensual yet subtle floral fragrance for women, which stays very close to the skin. This intimate composition opens with notes of violet leaves, apple, pink pepper and lemon. The heart is a floral bouquet of lily-of-the-valley, rose and jasmine. The base is soft, sensuous and woody, composed of rosewood, cedar, patchouli and mosses.

Wearing coconut macaroons er, the label says Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio

I want to uncork a bottle of something I got from a special BNer, but that would jinx my package safely crossing the Atlantic to her, so I'll refrain.

Zibs, this is for the mother of the bride.

My Scent of the Evening is a fresh application of

Etra Etro layered with two dabs of Etra Patchouly,

as described by tdem upthread. I was a bit alarmed at first, but it is beginning to settle beautifully. I can't get enough of this.

Chanel No. 22 from a sample from a kind Basenoter. This is going to be my next full bottle purchase. I was also considering Beige, which I love. But No. 22 is "the one", the Chanel for me. It intoxicates me.

He must be in uber-macho-butch mode! (eh, Le Grand Le Royal Duckiness?)

Today I was in the mood for something totally new. So... I layered Michael Storer Monk with J. Peterman's E.M. Ca' d'Oro and a few spritzes of Prada Infusion d'Iris. It was really, really nice, and reminded me of New Orleans in its intensity, its longevity, and its slight "dirtiness."

So for Wednesday I was at work as a (slightly overperfumed) sexy THANG thankyouverymuch!

This worked wonders on my self-esteem and general MOXIE, by the way.

Your day will come. I don't think there'll be much relaxing until it is over. And DH had a "wonderful" idea: why not expand the rehearsal dinner to include lots more people and have it at the house! Brilliant, huh? I am dying to cook a huge dinner and run back and forth to the kitchen and clean up til midnight the day before the wedding...no way! We had a little chat and I refused. Rehearsal dinner will not be Chez Z.
Ninfeo Mio is drying down to smell like lecithin tablets, which I smelled once many, many years ago, but they were distinct and memorable, and that's what I smell like.

I'm wearing Passage d'Enfer today. Totally rocks!

This evening I am wearing White Rose Oil - it's organic and 10 % in coconut oil - beautiful. I meant to test but ended up wearing it as quite a lot came out of the dropper ! I will have to remember that ,for the next time I try and apply it..............

I finished off my bottle of "The One" today. Yep, the vanity is clearing out little by little.

Good for you Zibeline! Boundaries! It's all about boundaries. (unless of course you LIKE parties that YOU cater... and I'm guessing the answer to that is a resounding NOOOOOOOO!!!!! and lots of screams.)

Evangeline, I love Diabolo Rose as well!

Quarry, I liked Ninfeo Mio until it dried down to "Eau de Yankee Candle Store"!

My order of three 15 ml splashes from Demeter arrived today and I'm trying out all three on skin.

Pineapple is totally realistic and yummy; I'm going to try layering it with something citrusy.

Dandelion is deliciously green and smells like lying in the grass in the sun. Very nice!

• "Demeter Naturals" 100% Natural Lilac EdT (http://www.demeterfragrance.com/Prod...?ProductID=898) smells like anything but lilac. I've had it on nearly two hours and I do not get even a whiff of lilac. Early on, I got some floral notes (jasmine?), then (briefly) cloves, and now it reminds me somewhat of Rose Kashmirie-- it is also reminding me of the smell of original Chapstick. There is a creaminess to it that doesn't sit well with me, but others may like it.
edit: After 3 hours, the creaminess subsided and I got a bit of ?night-flowering jasmine?

But if you are looking for lilac, the also-available Demeter (not 100% natural) Lilac cologne (http://www.demeterfragrance.com/Prod...ProductID=1188) is quite a good lilac soliflore. (Not the best one, IMO-- that would be Highland Lilac of Rochester.) It's linear and a little powdery but very pleasant, wearable and long lasting for a Demeter.

Wow! I'm very late here today. My SotD is Guerlain Derby, thanks to Primrose who kindly shared a sample.

This is a beautiful fragrance, smooth and subtly blended. I get sweet woods, moss, and a killer vetiver ending. Wow.
