Need suggestions for Raspberry!

Can anybody suggest scents to try that are similar to these? I can't find these anywhere, so I would love to find some alternatives! They are both very raspberry-ish scents!

L'Artisan Fragrances: Sautes d'Humeur Joyful Rire, Framboise Tralala
Comptoir Sud Pacifique: **Vanille Framboise or Vanilla Framboise**
post #2 of 38
I don't know those actual scents, but you should try Parfums de Nicolai Balkis.
Newbie out with raspberry Lady Millionaire by Paco Rabanne. Also the last release from Nina Ricci has a lot of raspberry.

Myself I get raspberry in the opening of Serge Lutens Daimn Blond.
If you like raspberry, you need to try HOT COUTURE, EdP, Givenchy!
Light and natural smelling tart raspberries -- Yves Rocher Framboise EdT from their Nature line, short-lived on my skin but very pleasant. Very often they have the same shower gel and body lotion (this latter one is a bit thin and runny) for layering.

Sweet, very very sweet raspberry jam -- Ted Lapidus Fantasme, with vanilla undertones.
Neil Morris Le Parfum C'est Ma Vie rasberry and plum and more... very good
post #7 of 38
Kayley, I'm glad you asked this question (and glad for all the responses, too) because just yesterday I was thinking about my friend who said raspberries are her favorite food. Now, I don't know whether she wants to smell like them, but maybe …
post #8 of 38
Fantasme is a great suggestion Twolf - I get raspberries, pineapple and thick, golden honey from it.

Jean Patou's Patou For Ever has a wonderful ripe raspberry note on top of that gorgeous Patou floral accord - it's luscious and juicy, but also quite elegant.
Bryant Park by Bond #9, Insolence by Guerlain, Hot Couture by Givenchy all smell like raspberries.
Call me crazy, but i Love the simplicity of B&BW's Black Raspberry Vanilla.
I second Insolence by Guerlain.
I didn't realize I'd be so interested in raspberry - I'm loving this thread!

Insolence is a great suggestion, although I don't think of it as very fruity because I always forget that it's raspberry making all those violets and roses so zingy!

I agree castorpollux, Black Raspberry Vanilla is delicious...although that hardly proves you're not crazy! I used to get the shower gel of it...must get more soon.

But I guess I'm going to have to re-sample Hot Couture - my impression of it the first time around was sticky synthetic anyberry candy of no distinction. I expect Givenchy to be better than that, so I suppose I can give it one more chance to redeem itself!

I haven't sniffed it but I'd expect the raspberry note in DKNY Delicious Candy Apples Ripe Raspberry to be pretty dominant, and probably quite sweet.

Isn't one of the Britneys supposed to have raspberry?
Another vote for Insolence.

You might also try YSL Parisienne. It has blackberry and rose.

Finally, Delicious Closet Queen by ELdO. Strawberry, violets and vetiver. Marketed as a men's scent with girly underpinnings--like a man in a three-piece business suit wearing women's underwear. LOL! That's ELdO for you, but a nice scent for everyday wear.
I'll say it again - Hot Couture. I believe Champs Elysee also has raspberry.
E., it is not Britney's, it is Paris Hilton's, I thought. Just Me? Apparition, anyone?

There is also a prominent raspberry note in one of the flunkers of EL Pleasures (something like Delight in the Garden or something).

Hehe I love to eat them too...though I suppose I may make myself hungry wearing it all the time!
Wow, thank you for all these suggestions! I've tried the DKNY one and its just way too sweet or synthetic or something...I can't really put my finger on it, but despite being a fruit lover, the DKNYs (the "Delicious" ones too) just don't work for me.
I believe I sniffed/tried Insolence a couple of times and found it too heavy or couldn't find any raspberry...I know I also tried Balkis...

Hot Couture though, I'll have to find!

Hm...going to need to make myself a list!
Thank you again, everyone!
I get a lot of raspberries along with tomato leaves in Les Belles de Ricci Liberte Acidulee (the green one )
For a raspberry jelly see Armani's Diamonds, Givenchy Hot Couture and of course My Insolence (Guerlain)
Bond's Bryant Park is a light version of Hot Couture, with fresh raspberries and roses.
There are also raspberries with powdered sugar for me in Guerilla (Comme des Garcons)
Although i agree with the recs of Hot Couture, i also have to warn that you have to be a fan of both black pepper and white musk as this one has a heavy dose of those notes.
While on some people the pepper is rather subdued and adds a touch of "zest" to the composition, on others it would ruin the balance, but then again it's all about the person's chemistry.
By the time of the drydown the notes all fall on a comfortable warm bed with the added vanilla.

Kayley, check your PMs.

Hot Couture - fer sure!

How about de Nicolai's Violette in Love? Simple floral with hint of sweetness. It has a very nice raspberry note.

Ditto on this - I have a very hard time finding the raspberry in Hot Couture beneath all the pepper and musk.

Midnight Fantasy has Framboise a Raspberry variation -many are led by the bottles color to think of blueberry or blackberry or plum.
+1 on the recomendation for Hot Couture .It is going to be my SOTD tomorrow.Maybe I should do MF tonight?
Another vote for B&BW Black Raspberry Vanilla! The body spray is lighter on the vanilla than the edt.
Hey everyone,

This thread certainly peaked my interest on the whole 'raspberry' accord/note.

Here's what I came up with Ã* la framboise

Calyx by Prescriptives
Top notes:\t
Peach, Apricot, Cassis, Spearmint
middle note:
Lily of the valley, Lily, Melon, Cyclamen
base note:
Cedar, Musk, Moss, Raspberry
--------------------------------------

Violette by Laura Mercier

top note:
Violet, Black Currant
middle note
Mimosa, Peony
base note:
Vetiver, Raspberry, Musk
------------------------------------

Raspberry & Vanilla by Yardley

description:
With Raspberry & Vanilla, the English house of Yardley explores new olfactory territory. As part of the new Fruit Sensation collection (3 fresh, fruity and mouth-watering essences), this new fragrance will seduce young women in search of a dynamic, fun and colorful fragrance for enjoying life to the fullest - Wedding raspberry to vanilla creates a voluptuously mischievous blend. Enhanced with citrus, floral notes, sandalwood and musk.

top note:
Citrus Fruit
middle note:
Raspberry, Floral Accords
base note:
Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla
-----------------------------------

Jeanne LANVIN by LANVIN

description:
Anne Flipo wanted a brief formula centered on musk, an ingredient that’s ‘both light-hearted and romantic’, (editor’s note: white musks). The result is a light, fruity-floral fragrance pairing notes of peony and red berries.

top note:
Citron, Blackberry, Pear Nectar
middle note:
Pink Peony, Raspberry, Candied Rose, Freesia
base note:
White Musks, Sandalwood, Ambergris
-------------------------------------------------

Pretty Nina by Nina Ricci (limited edition - 2008)

Described as ‘a juice concocted like a dessert tray’, pretty Nina is a fresh-and-fruity floral scent blending juicy raspberries, sweet green apple, tangy grapefruit and light petals over a base of apple-tree wood and gourmand caramel and vanilla notes.

top note:
Grapefruit, Lime, Caipirinha
middle note:
Raspberry, Green Apple, Jasmine
base note:
Rose, Apple-tree wood, Musks, Vanilla, Caramel
---------------------------------------------------

FLOWERPARTY by Yves Rocher

story:
In its red bottle with the flower-shaped cap, FLOWERPARTY incarnates joie de de vivre and a gourmand spirit. ‘Through the light and lively notes of lychee and raspberry that grant a mischievous charm, the luminous freshness unfolds right from the start and extends all the way through to the sensual base that makes it so addictive,’ confides the perfumer, Philippe Romano. But ‘thanks to noble ingredients – rose and vanilla absolute – I wanted to adorn the fragrance in a veritable perfume texture’ he explains. The scent, with its heavily flower-influenced look (bottle, packaging and name) will thrill women who love fruity, tart and gourmand scents. The ad campaign, featuring a black-and-white image of a woman with a flower in her mouth, has a retro touch reminiscent of the Flower Power movement (late 60s-70's).

top note:
Mandarin Orange, Orange
middle note:
Raspberry, Lychee, Rose, Fruity Notes, Florals Notes
base note:
Vanilla, Musky Notes
----------------------------------------

Génération Courrèges by Courrèges

description:
The fragrance opens on a fruity note of cassis, raspberry and peach. The floral note exhales scents of carnation, rose, jasmine, lilac and violet leaves. The sweet and sensuous end notes feature musk, sandalwood, honey and anisated oakmoss.

top note:
Cassis, Raspberry, Peach, Lilac
middle note:
Carnation, Jasmine, Rose, Violet leaves
base note:
Musk, Honey, Sandalwood, Oakmoss
------------------------------------------

Sexy Graffiti by Escada

description:
The top note leans on the delicacy of wild strawberries and raspberries combined with invigorating pomelo and blackcurrant.
The heart note reveals lily, red peony and innocent and light violet.
The end note is like a voluptuous caress thanks to cashmere wood, vanilla and musks.

top note:
Pomelo, Raspberries, Blackcurrant, Wild strawberries
middle note:
Violet, Red peony, Lily
base note:
Musk, Vanilla, Cashmere wood

I hope this helps and doesn`t confuse!
Need anymore suggestions - I am up for the challenge

For a fresh, vibrant raspberry, I second (third?) Bond 9 Bryant Park. This is a very happy fragrance.

For a sweeter, chocolaty and altogether delicious raspberry, I recommend By Kilian Back to Black. Raspberry is very prominent on my skin in this fragrance.

The Britney I was thinking of was Circus Fantasy. I've never smelled it but the notes look promising... intriguing. I've seen them in paintings, but has anyone here ever set eyes on a real blue peony?

According to Fragrantica -
Top notes - Raspberry, Apricot blossom
Middle Notes - Blue peony, Water lily, Red sweetheart orchid
Base Notes - Vanilla wood, Creamy musk, Violet candy

Yes, Evangeline is correct. Britney Spears Circus Fantasy is one of the 'raspberries'

Peony Splash by Coach is another one I found-

Heh unfortunately I've already tried more than a few of those and they all tend to go floral on me...heavily floral, no berry! Or they get down to the base and wear and wear that way...down to the woods and musk and stuff that I don't really want...Not that I don't appreciate all the responses and suggestions! I hope I didn't sound ungrateful!
I am not sure but maybe an oil perfume...

I found this:
http://www.thesage.com/catalog/produ...rance-Oil.html

other suggestions:

Pink Sugar by Aquolina - it has floral but it's berry and gourmand accords are most prominent.
Wrapped with Love by Hillary Duff - also has some floral but not prominent
J'aime by La Perla
Femme de Montblanc by Montblanc - this one sounds really nice...not floral!
Happy Spirit Magical Night by Chopard - this is fruity/oriental

....and why I never thought of this before DEMETER Fragrance library!!! I have the little Hello Kitty Apples one...it's yummy and very fruity. It may not last long because it's more of a cologne but you can purchase the lotions and layer it.

Demeter has one called Raspberry Jam and I am positive it will smell just like that!

Demeter's online catalogue: http://www.demeterfragrance.com/Prod...ProductID=1064

I hope this time you get what you are looking for - If anything, I now pretty much know all fragrances that contain raspberry, lol!

For a really, really cheap and cheerful straight-up (synthetic but fun) raspberry scent, you can't beat Yves Rocher Framboise!

Oh, and Demeter, yes!
I'm considering that one (Raspberry Jam) , but I heard they had a Special Edition Raspberry at some point, so I thought I'd search for that one too!

Hey catnip_too,

I tried Kilian's back to black for the first time today and you are right, you do get a rush of raspberry amongst the lush perfume. I read the ingredients and the last ingredient was raspberry at 1%!!! Haha! I laughed because it's pretty prominent for having such a small amount!

Oh man...I have a Back to Black sample, and I just don't get any raspberry on me! I like raspberry, but I guess my skin and nose don't...
Kayley,

It's a really small amount of raspberry - I wouldn't consider Back to Black a prominently raspberry fragrance. I wouldn't worry I am so sorry you are having such a rough time with finding a raspberrry scent that is suited to you. The thing is, everyone sense of smell is slightly different. I am sure you have something in mind and with time I am sure you will find it <3

I remember when the Body Shop had an oil perfume in almost every 'flavour'. I am sure raspberry once was among them but we are talking over 15 years ago and the Body Shop has re-vamped it's fragrance line completely.

Have you thought about making it yourself or do you know anyone who can make fragrance?

I wish you the best of luck...sometimes things pop up out of nowhere when we least expect it
