Azzaro Elixir by Azzaro (first time from a decant - thanks J!)

Well, the natural scent comparison my nose is making is London for Men by Burberry, but it has a strong ambery base that keeps giving me whiffs similar to Costume National Pour Homme and/or Fahrenheit Absolute minus the oud.

This, I'm thinking, might smell better on me in the Fall.

I believe--yes, try to shout me down if you will; call me crazy if you must; rail against me: I shan't yield until you pry the EasySqueeze bottle from my cold, dead, hands--but friends, I believe that if ketchup cost $20 an ounce people would still buy it for special occasions. The same is true of Guerlain Vetiver, the Uncle Manny of vetivers, the riding mower of vetivers. I dedicate the day to the underrated and the all-but-invisible-but-excellent. It's already mid-afternoon, mind you.

Samples of Opus I and Opus II. Why do i think of silver when sniffing them? Both are so well blended that nothing stands out, so in the end I loose interest.

Bandit by Robert Piguet (from a sample)

Wow, it's been a while since I have smelled this - I just love it. A more feisty Aramis.

Started the day in Michael Kors Michael for Men. A quick shot of Bleu de Chanel after lunch. Following that, a long drive in the country on a beautiful summer evening. Opium pour Homme EdT. When I finally got home, I showered and follwed up with Creed Original Santal deodorant stick, and a light spray of Dior Homme Intense.

The cooler, fall-like weather has me breaking out the spicy sweets. Love them all.
