Happy weekend everyone! It's a holiday weekend here in the UK so Mr Hebe gets Monday off too.

Day 8 of my 3weeks of sampling, and I'm wearing Givenchy Le De from the ever lovely VM I Hate Civet. This one is very dry and ladylike, it reminds me of the inside of a particularly clean and organised handbag.

Chanel No 22. Exquisite. It's cooler here this morning, sunny and clear, and the incense note is just popping today.

Have a lovely Saturday, all!

Creed FdTRB today while we visit the Bronx Zoo again-- to see some of the exhibits we missed last time. It takes at least 3 visits to see everything there-- it's pretty big. Good thing we have a membership!

We seem to be getting to a late start.

Expecting guests for the long weekend, so wearing Ava Luxe Opoponax Intense as it doesn't seem to irritate delicate sniffers and I adore it. Win/Win!

Happy Saturday
Wearing FEMME ROCHAS
Edmond Roudnitska made Femme Rochas in Paris during the War in 1943. Femme represents a real masterpiece with its warmth of woman’s gentle skin and dense note of plum. The composition is based on the harmony of aldehides, fruit, wood, and musk notes. Dryness of chypre notes is softened by the purple plum. The richness of tropical fruits is followed by rich scent of sandal. Femme Rochas is a splendid perfume which is not aimed for every person, he is more into a fatal woman. The perfume was reconstructed in 1989 and has become lighter and gourmand thanks to the peach note in harmony with plum. Base notes are: bergamot, peach, pear, rose, an immortal, jasmine, ylang-ylang, grey amber, musk, oaken moss and sandal. The lovely bottle retails woman curves.

Hello everyone!

I'm in one of my favorite chypres from the '80s, the mossy and elegant Gucci No. 3.

And now, thanks to the timely arrival of an early wedding gift, fiancé and I going to the greatest annual sporting event to take place on US soil, the US Open - Yahoo!! So I'm stupendously excited about that, but I won't be around here for a while. We're leaving pretty early tomorrow and I probably won't be checking in, so y'all be good to yourselves, be fragrant and I'll see you in about two weeks!

Y'all are the best!!

Aromatics Elixir Velvet Sheer by Clinique (from a sample - thanks darkdreams!)

I like the original Aromatics Elixir but I find it slightly unwearable...it smells much better on other people. But this flanker, AEVS is quite good. The rose is turned up a notch and the aldehydes and scratchy patchouli are turned way down. I like it!

Enjoy your trip, Evangeline!

I'm in a retro mood - wearing Chantilly today.
Tonight will be Vivre.
(just got an edt from fleabay -- I had some already, but this one was just too inexpensive to pass up, and in a different style bottle -- this one is a 30 ml in a profoundly ugly bottle with brown plastic top. It's richer smelling than the edt I already had. (I'm working on a fleabay theory: the uglier the bottle, the nicer the juice.)

I'm wearing Fleur du Male this evening.

My "scent" today was eau de potato salad fixings, red velvet cake, vanilla buttercream frosting, fondant & fresh corn on the cob husks...in that order. (I'm cooking for a BBQ tomorrow, so today was the last of the food prep.)

SOTE is Chanel Coco edt.

RHM -- DH arrives tomorrow?
E -- good trip to you and Mr.E.

Made chocolate flourless fudge -- cream of marshmallow is hard to work with, in case you did not know. Not sure if it settles, but I followed all there was to follow. Oh yeah, all after a double shift at work.

RHM - Can I come to the bbq? Everything sounds yummy! BTW, is that Igor as your avatar? I LOVE Young Frankenstein!

SOTD: DelRae's Coup de Foudre

I'm in the very lovely Versus by Versace. Sure wish I could tweet it as my SOTD from the directory...*hint hint*

I think it smells better on me pre-exfoliation. It's hard finding frags that do smell good on me before then. I only have a handful that smell good on me then. I'm thoroughly enjoying the random whiffs : ) Tomorrow I scrub like it's no tomorrow. I looooove my baths. They are so relaxing and boy does a good scrubbing do the body good.
