Why is Dolce & Gabbana "By" so expensive?

I've always wondered why this fragrance is so expensive? There are many many discontinued designer fragrances, but for some reason this one is able to demand £300+ for 50ml.

I can't figure that one out either. It wasn't that good to begin with.
It has a peculiar lily & coffee thing going on, if I remember right.
It's probably the oddity factor.

I was trying to get this and finally did it last year!!!It is a nice coffee note in it and is quite good enough one scent
I got the 50ml perfume in a gift set (body lotion +gel douch) and the price was logical ..around 50-60 euro!!!

I think it's discontinued, so that's probably the reason for the unreasonable price.

> Because its absurdly hard to find (found mine in a corner shelf in a small store for a fraction of what it costs nowadays -- thank god for their ignorance)
> Because it's actually pretty good, certainly different from most new designer offerings. Lasts pretty long on me too.

Same thing happened with TM Pure Coffee. I see them on Ebay going for $150 ~ $200, with plenty of people bidding on them. Discontinued fragrances will do that after some time goes by.

And then sometimes a big batch is found, and you see a bunch on ebay for low prices, for a while, and then eventually it goes back up. So, if you are patient, you might get lucky, but I think this one is too popular for that.

As I said earlier today, I found a bunch of these today. Would be willing to trade for Knize Ten.
