Chucky is Back

Am I the only BNer, who is über excited about the Child's Play remake?!
It's American premiere will be in July 2011 ... I'm sooo looking forward
to this little piece, I hope it's gonna be scary as hell.
The director wanted to bring Chucky back into the horror genre, instead of
making yet another comedy like the last two Child's Play movies. The only
way he could do that, he thought, was to make a remake of the first one.

Chucky was my childhoods biggest nightmare - my mother hated the movie.
I cannot count the times, she had to come running in the night, because I
had dreamt about Chucky ... again!
Still, to this day, I'm not comfortable sleeping in a room with a doll.

Just look at the new poster ... it's sooo cool! YAY!!!

Dolls are really creepy, have a really hard time around shop dummies, ventriloquist dummies, dolls, clowns, masks. I should just not bother leaving the house.

The daughter of my friend looks like the bride of chucky. This was disturbing enough when she was small and used to have this deep maniacal laugh. She's 14 now and we don't trust her around knives. She's gets quite INTENSE being 14.

Depends how gory the film will be, imagination works far better than gore for me. The first Halloween or the first Alien for example. It all got a bit silly after friday the 13th "Lets go to the deserted holiday camp where there was that horrible accident. When people start vanishing lets ignore it for a while then all split up and explore." Anyone who has sex, swears or does drugs need not book in for Breakfast.

Sounds like a wicked teen, that girl.

Yeah, I find the lesser gory movies more frightening, too,
like the original Texas Chain Saw, many ppl think, that it
is the most bloody film ever, but very, very little blood is
actually seen. It's all in ones imagination.

The original Child's Play is not that bloody either ...
we'll see.

Another remake which is to be released in 2012, is
of the most bloody and gory movie ever - Hellraiser.
I'm very excited about that one, too! It's gonna be good!

Oh, clicked on THAT link.

It is the representation of a person but, it isn't really if you catch my drift.

The Hellraiser thing might be good, depends on how they remake it, it was originally quite low budget, (The Japanese original of The Ring is soo much better). Think really gory stuff can become quite ridiculous and actually funny (The cute side of zombies!).

Sick humour warning

The best thing Sarah Michelle Geller did in 'The Ring 2' was take the fast route off the roof of the hospital building, and Jamie Leigh Curtis had already done something similar soo much better. We shall see.

Remember the Killer Dolls from the movie Barbarella?

Wasn't Barbarella's response a bit dodgy, like she was sort of enjoying herself. What am I saying the entire film was gloriously dodgy in technicolour.

The film gave us Duran Duran! (Which may be positive or negative depending on who you are)
