Today I had the immense pleasure of wearing the brand new creation of Olivier Durbano: Pink Quartz. It is a triumph! A wonderful spicy chypre, centered around rose. It is one I predict will certainly appeal to men, as well as women.
This is the rose I've been waiting for!

I have just written an expanded review here:

That is great news!! I really like Oliver's style. Although I am not a fan of aquatic, he managed to do a wonderful aquatic with Turquoise. I am looking forward to trying this and running to your blog to read your review.

Thanks arwen_elf.
I think Pink Quartz is the first of Durbano's fragrances that have really embraced the emotional aspect, as opposed to just the mineralic aspect of his 'stone poems'. Its a gorgeous, gorgeous spicy rose, but is not too deep and cloying. If you've ever smelled Washington Tremlett's Black Tie, the saffron/rose notes are comparable, but Durbano's citrus topnotes and ginger really give it a sparkle. It feels very compassionate and harmonious to wear. Its the rose I have been hoping for!

Thank you, Dimitri, for the great review. I am really curious about Pink Quartz. I did enjoy Olivier Durbano's previous offerings but I did find them a bit too austere. Indeed, as you mentioned in your review, he was concentrating on the mineralic aspects and not on emotions. Pink Quartz sounds just right!

I'm a sucker for notes of ginger! This sounds very intriguing - thanks Dimi!

Thanks Bonsai and Ubu!
I would dearly love to hear someone else's opinion on this one when it becomes available. All those whom have smelled it on me have remarked as to how unusual a scent it is.

This fragrance seems worthy of the term olfactory art rather than just another fragrance roll-out. I see the online store at the site is not yet active. I hope it will be soon.
