So I did it guys. I finally tried Creed. Ive taken an unenthusiastic whiff in the past, but tonight was the first time that i smelled it and actually gave a fuck.
they have a creed section in the nordstrom next to my house, and i just had to inquire. So i got two samples tonight:
1. Green Irish Tweed- I got this because i think i would eventuallty get kicked off the site if i didnt, and u know what, it was pleasantly surprising to me. I really didnt have a good understanding of what people meant when they talked about the quality of Creed until tonight. Yes, it smells similar to Cool Water, but you can sooo tell that green irish tweed is made with much much much better ingridients. So there you go basenotes..i have a sample of your God now. be happy
2. Bois Du Portugal- The only reason that i really wanted to inquire about this fragrance is because my idol and favorite person in history is Frank Sinatra, and this is what he wore. The kind young lady even mentioned that to me when i asked about it, even though i already knew
. So on the the scent, i normally wouldnt like things that smell like this, but I can just smell the ingredients and how well made it is. it was amazing. to be, its smells like a very very very expensive version of B*Men. call me crazy, yeah watever. thats just what my nose tells me. I will defiently be wearing it at my next very classy, important event wear i am wearing a suit and tie and like to feel like im authoratative. if a man with the superiority of Frank Sinatra onces sprayed this on himself, i'm honored to wear it.
After she gave me the free samples, she mentioned to me that someone important from Creed will be coming to that store for some kind of Creed Event, and that will be the unveiling of Creeds Aventus at that particular Nordstroms store. She told me a little bit about the fragrance, and i think that Aventus will be the first Creed that i purchase. The pinapple note along with the other notes that she told me about really caught my attention. So September 25, ill be coming back on basenotes to tell u what i thikn about my first creed purchase.
so all i all, after experiencing Creed, i can honestly say that i learned alot about fragrances. I really have a better understand of synthetic vs quality, and i ca honestly say that regardless of the actual scent of the fragrance, the fact that Creeds quality was sooo unlike anythign else ive ever experienc will make Creed hard to beat in my opinion

And if you do get a chance to go to that Creed event, check it out. I went to one and had a great time. It's an easy way to meet other people who are into fragrance. It's also a good time to make a buy.
