L'Instant PH (EdT) vs. A*Men

Maybe you BNers will find me crazy, but the more I try A*Men, the more I definitely smell a similar vibe in the sillage than in L'Instant PH in EdT (never tried the EdP yet ) and I guess that's because they share a chocolate/tonka bean note.
However, I personally still prefer L'Instant which I own but I remember I hated A*Men the first times I tried it and now I find it quite nice when sprayed just once with a good distance.
So tell me now, you'd better choose the full gourmand sugary chocolate of A*Men or the woody and more light cocoa of L'Instant ?

L'Instant, with no hesitation. A*Men only appeals to me as the Coffee or Malt varieties. Do hold out for the EDP on L'Instant. It's worth the effort if you tend toward richer gourmands.

A*Men smells just wrong. On the other hand, L'Instant is much more richer, complex and well crafted. Like Redneck said, try to get the EDP if possible.

L'Instant BY FAR.

A*Men is so obnoxiously loud and unnecessary. L'Instant on the other hand is beautifully crafted, spicy and just the right level of gourmand so you don't smell like a cookie factory.

I sometimes kid about A*Men. I find it loud and that a lot of people really don't like it. But it has a place for many people.

L'Instant is much more refined and discreet; not as potentially polarizing. I also find women like it on me.

I have both L'Instant EdP and EdT. The EdP leans much more gourmand with the cocoa notes. But on me, it wears much closer to skin and doesn't project as much. Overall, I prefer the EdT.

I find L'instant to be very weak, and A men to be incredibly strong. It's hard to make a comparison if only because of this contrast. If I had to choose, I guess it would be L'instant. Neither is a favorite of mine though.

i tried A*Men yesterday for the first time. im a guy that appreciates a good gourmand. but for some reason, i absolutely hated A*Men.

go for L'Instant. Its awsome

Yup I will for sure, but since I already own the EdT, I usually prefer to diversify my collection instead of having a "flanker" (even if it's really good or even better) unless it's totally different, but I should test it just for curiosity at least.

Definitely L'Instant. I wear the EDT rather than the EDP since the EDP lacks the top note that I love in the EDT.

As much as I like the smell of A*men, I find it much too strong to wear. So I wear B*Men instead since I find it a toned down version of A*men (I can't see at all how anyone can say they aren't similiar). I do find similiar notes in L"Instant and B*Men. I like L'Instant better, however, although I really like both.

A*Men for me. It is more daring and bold than L'Instant, which is absolutely amazing, but sort of "I've smelled that somewhere else". All the A*Men wanna-be are just not quite there, whereas some of the L'Instant wanna-be (say, D&G The One) are reasonably good. There's something new and exciting in A*Men (and yes, something very 90s too...) which I find interesting, while L'Instant is a high standard Guerlain scent, as one can expect...

Although I never reach for it, I consider AMen a classic. L'Instant is nothing extraordinary to me. I ordered the Edp and there is something unpleasant about it. Perhaps it was a bad bottle?

L'Instant for sure. A*Men is less versatile and not really suitable for my local weather.

But I love L'Instant Extreme, it is a wonderful scent and I always get compliment whenever wearing it.

Its no contest, L'Instant. For the following reasons.

1) Its higher quality, better constructed and much easier to wear.
2) And well, because its a Guerlain. Enough said.

Umm, I really want to be impressed by L'Instant, since I love cocoa, but having tried it twice, it smelled like a light oriental with a very light vanilla dry down. Maybe I need to give it another go or get the EdP? oh well.

A*Men for me, despite me not liking Nutmeg/coffee smell. I would dare to say A*Men is a classic, but not as generally appealing as the simple l'Instant, which I really have to give it another go from what people are saying. But I would go for A*Men pure malt, not because I find it as good as everybody describes, but ONLY because it's a lighter yet more complex version of A*Men. To me, A*men is just a strong nutmeg punch, if you like it though go for it, not very wearable for me despite the compliments, a fragrance I respect but don't enjoy much.

Cocoa > Chocolate/Nutmeg/Coffee. I just can't detect it in l'instant.

I love and wear both, but I think L'Instant is a little better. It's less sweet and foody than A*Men, which is a good thing. I also find it a lot more versatile than A*Men, though I do wear A*Men in all different occasions very comfotably, even suit and tie occasions.
