Best classic fragrances

I am on a kick of testing classic fragrances. What are your favorite classics. Say from the 1980's and back. I would especially love to hear of your favorites from the 60's and back.

I will start out with Bowling Green and Jicky. I love both of them.

Oh the pain! There are too many to list. JonB, I'm going to list a few but I'm sure to forget some others that are just as worthy if not more. The lists made above are excellent for filling in all my omissions.

Great project, by the way.

I say Givenchy Monsieur, Guerlain Vetiver, Guerlain Habit Rouge, Aramis, and like Adonis says, YSL PH, and AdP Colonia. Pick up some Roger & Gallet Extra Vieille too, and then some of Dior's Eau Sauvage masterpiece.

I think I still have a sample of English Fern. I have to dig it out and try it again. I like many of the Penhaligon's fragrances.

I absolutely love Polo. Along with LV Uomo, my two favorite fragrances. Oh, and I will add a third all-time favorite, Vintage Tabarome.

Yes! I'm on a Colonia binge now. It actually replaced Eau Sauvage as my go-to cologne-type.

Most have been said. For me, I love the Penhaligon's and the Robert Piguet's. Most Guerlain's and many Chanel's.
I'm really into the YSLs (except L'Homme) but don't personally consider them classic yet.- or not right now.

some standouts for me are:

Cravache
Visa
Bandit
Hammam Bouquet
English Fern
Du Roi
Douro (Eau de Portugal)
4711

Eau Du Coq
Jicky
Heritage (newer in the grand scheme)
Mouchoir de Monsieur
Pour Monsieur
Cuir de Russie
No. 22
Antaeus

make sure you try Shalimar in the EDC concentration(not to be confused with Eau de Shalimar, which is awful)....the EDC is a great masculine along the lines of Jicky. And quite a bargain at $35 on amazon.
