I Have Fallen Through The Looking Glass. Alice? Is That You?

I tend to be very eclectically inclined in my fragrance preferences, but as late I have fallen prey to some dark, sweet fragrances that are beyond my ability to resist. Beyond the looking glass I have succumbed to the wiles of Tobacco Vanille, Aomassai and fragrance of Merlyn himself, Amber Sultan. To me these are works of olfactory art and credits to their creators genius.

Welcome to the dark side. The dark resinous notes are divine the perfect example Ambre Sultan and Les Nereides Imperial Opoponax especially.

Having just ordered a bunch of amber based samples from Luckyscent, Ambre Sultan among them, l feel that l too am about to go over to the dark side in a big way. Having been obsessed with white flowers for a long time, l feel a hankering for something deep, dark & resinous myself, especially with autumn approaching. l'm very excited to see if l fall in love with any of these scents!

My experience with Ambre Sultan has been with a small sample, but I remedied that today with the purchase of a bottle. Pricey, but worth the cost IMO.
