Guerlain's Parfum des Champs-Elysées, a floral leather chypre introducing the pastel-grey melancholy of Après L'Ondée's violet-iris-heliotrope, but based on a dry mossy-leathery core of rain-soaked tree bark. Handsome!

Wish I could have been there. I had reserved two seats, but finally couldn't make it due to my work - and financial constraints of a later trip to Paris Have been dreaming of meeting him for years. Would have taken my vintage Nahéma Parfum with me and made him sign it. Oh well... Will at least look forward to reading your write-up of the event.

There are certain days when I actually crave the smell of this - like today.

I got up today, took a shower and since I was out of my usual unscented deo-- I put on some Fleur du Male deo stick... I don't know-- I walked into the coffee shop feeling like I'd peed on my armpits. Great scent in some ways, but there is that urinous note that comes out, especially on rainy, humid days.
