M7 / The Dreamer / A* Men?

For my age (30), and style (semi-casual/dressy) what do you recommend? I know that I will eventually have all three but I'll only buy one next month.

So the contenders are YSL M7, Versace The Dreamer, and A* Men While I can appreciate many scents, I don't want any ladies to say I smell like their grandfather lol.

EDIT - OH and it's getting warmer here in Australia heading towards summer.

M7.
A* Men smells disgusting to some noses, The Dreamer I haven't actually smelled.

As you live in Australia you may want to consider M7 Fresh as it is lighter and won't cloy in the heat.

Yeah, I'm a tennis fan, so I know that Australia has reverse seasons from the USA. So, I'd stay away from A*Men and M7 in hot weather. The Dreamer would probably be your best bet right now.

My vote for M7!
If A*men, what about Angel?

Anyone tried M7 Fresh?

From observation, I'd say M7 would come across as the most mature smelling among the 3 you listed. It is also my favorite of the 3. Whether people around you will find it granny-ish, only you can find out, though there is more possibility of that happening with M7 than the other two, again, my opinion. M7 also comes across as more appropriate for semi-casual/dressy occasions. But since it is quite a love or hate one, you should try it first if you can. As some others have pointed out, it can be a little bit challenging in very warm weather. It can definitely work with proper/moderate application, but is probably more challenging than the other two, based on my experience (tropical weather where I'm from). Hope this helps.

None of them, to be honest. I'd say something like Lacoste's Elegance intead.

M7, one of the absolute best relatively recent designer fragrances.

A*Men is a classic, but it's not for everyone nor is it that versatile or that lovely. It just Does something, and it does it very well.

The dreamer, I don't get the hype, one of the worst sweet powdery fragrances I've smelt to date, very cloying.

All of them are not summer fragrances, but who cares, summer fragrances suck anyway. Just go easy on the spritzer.

I love all three, especially M7 and A*men.

Sometimes, I just can't believe the amount of bang-for-the-buck you get with A*men. I recently snagged a giant metal flask of it from Perfumania for like $40 and it always amazes me just how much is going on in this scent. It never falls into flatness. It's got so many textures and edges. Yesterday I just spritzed a tiny amount between my thumb and finger and walked around dabbing a little here and there. It lasted so long and it was just so alive. The flankers are all nice and such, but the original is the deepest and most powerful. Agreed, it's not for everyone but it does get compliments if you go very easy with it.

I would have to agree with this. While I do like all 3 (A-men somewhat less than the other two) I don't find any of them particularly suitable for what you are looking for. I would say all three are more cold weather scents. M7 and A-Men more for evening wear. Also I would add, to me at least, A-Men is more of a young guy scent (college age). That being said, younger women tend to go for it (same age) if that is what you are going for!

If I had to choose of the 3, I would say The Dreamer - I think it would work the best in the warmer weather and is very unique. Some say it's suitable for romantic use....not sure I agree. Either way, I find it more one-of-a-kind than the other two. Good luck!
