I bought a bottle about a month ago, and it's surprisingly versatile. I wear it on hot days, cool nights, office, casual. The trick is to go light on the trigger if it's warm out, or if you're in an office or other small, enclosed area. But it works well for a wide variety of situations. I don't think it's particularly young or old.

im 17 and i wear it a lot. I raelly enjoy it, so does my girlfriend ^ ^
but then again i wear everything without really caring bout the "age group"
it is very versatile and i believe any time i okay

I was given a rather large tester of this several years ago and rarely wear it; in my head I've always connected it with the women's version of Opium, which I have always found rich to the the point of suffocating. But I just spritzed a bit after seeing this post and it's not nearly as noxious as I thought it was. I still think it's a bit on the heavy side for casual wear, but I think as a special occasion scent (or even as an everyday scent in small doses), it's fine no matter what age you are.

You're rapidly turning into "one of us" my friend Jonny. Put some on, wear it out of the house, see how you like it.

You are turning into a man with several scents. This could be one of the darker, heavier ones for you.

Your nose is all that counts. Do you like it, or not?

As StylinLA said, if you're becoming a perfume fanatic, there's no age group for perfumes, no gender, I would even dare say no season if you know what you're doing. All that matters is you liking the fragrance.

Don't restrict yourself. It's one of my favourite, and when i was 19, i wore it for first time.

Absolutely no restrictions whatsoever. Anyone can wear it.

Age group is a matter of perception. For example, if you're dad was wearing Brut, you'll automatically associate Brut with a higher age group. Regarding Opium YSL, that's something fantastic, I'm 19 years young and I only wear it to special occasions, that's how much I like it. I would also suggest you try the EDP version which is deeper and smoother than the original. If you're looking for something more exclusive that shares common vibes with Opium, try Sushi Imperiale by Bois 1920.

I was fond of this one since I was 14-15 years old and, although I did not own this frag by then, I would have worn it gladly on any occasion, especially during autumn/winter, for semi-formal/formal evening wear

Man, I love Opium. One of my favorites. It does seem to work better in the cooler weather, but also does fine in small quantities in the heat. As far as age group, 17 and up.

What kind of unlce gives his 18-year-old nephew Opium??

well, I guess I'll go against the grain here. there are a very rare few frags that I claim are "harder" (not never, just tougher) for certain other groups to wear. I mean some are really feminine and just hard to most guys to wear. Opium PH IMO is one of those frags that's somewhat mature. Now I'm not saying that a 17 year old's skin will melt, but I do think it's more at home with a more mature older guy, like late 20's at the least, more like 30+. Of course you can wear it, and enjoy it. It's one of my favorites, and if I had a signature scent that might just be it.

As long as you've got a pulse, you'll be okay.
I agree that it might smell a bit too mature... But if you go light with it, it should do!

Any age

I have been complimented on Opium PH by an 18 year old girl, an 35 year old woman and my mother.
So it seems that a lot of women, no matter what age like Opium.
But that really isn't all that important.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable wearing it.

It is a magnificent fragrance, and to me it seems only appropriate for personal or special occasions. All just my opinion, of course. Age doesn't enter in to it.
