Just for Fun: For the Maddicts out there...

Just watched the last episode of Mad Men, it just gets better and better and better. Today I could actually smell Don Drapers aftershave through the screen, but which one is it??
(please tell me, I'll run out and buy it for my man!)

And is Joan a Jicky -kind of woman? I think so, but then again, she could be a classic no5?

What about Peggy? I think Balenciaga Paris would suit her so well, actually anything with violets in it (constantly shifting between shyness and boldness)

And what about Betty, Pete Campbell, Francine and all the rest of them?

I bet you thought of it!

DUCKY!!

Mad Men is a truly stylish and captivating TV show set in the 60's.

Joan wears Shalimar in an episode from season 1.

Thank you Tott, I'm glad we're two of us, and it's an excellent description! Duc, it's a mustsee!! I think it's on tv3puls, but I take it down on my computer, so I can watch the new episodes and when I want!

Joan wears Shalimar? She does have exquisite taste, but I wouldn't have thought Shalimar...

HAHAHAHA one mean bitch! -but I bet she smelled good! Krystle would smell a little stale I imagine, don't know why - oh yes I do, she's boring!

Joan- Shalimar for sure. Maybe Caron Narcisse Noir.
Peggy- maybe Balenciaga Le Dix, Miss Balmain, Evening In Paris
Betty- Fracas..maybe No5, Jasmal
Don Draper- Guerlain Vetiver or Dior Eau Sauvage. Somehow Brut seems fitting...
Roger- Aqua di Parma, Fath Iris Gris
Pete- Old Spice, maybe Aramis as he matures a little....

btw...

Krystal had her own perfume

And so did Blake

Hey Jane, I didn't notice your reply until now, but those are VERY good suggestions! I'm going to test the ones you suggest for Don, I've pretty much stayed out of mens frag until now (my man wears Lanvin Homme, and I'm perfectly happy with that:-), but he could for sure need a second one!
I totally se what you mean by Betty wearing Fracas, she's quite a drama-queen, and so is Fracas (imho)
And Peggy is def a Balenciaga type of girl, slightly on the avantgarde side (I adore her!! and Balenciaga!!)

And THANK YOU:-) for the pictures, I never knew about that! I wonder if Blake Carrington would have just a hint of raw oil to it?

I envision Don wearing Aramis. Or at least that is how it plays out in my fantasy.

My mother loved and wore Forever Krystle, and she bought Carrington for my father so he could "match her". He really didn't care what fragrance he wore - he just wore whatever anyone gave him as a gift. But my mother did not like Scoundrel, the Joan Collins fragrance, because it was associated with Alexis who she hated.

I like Jane's suggestions for Don Draper. All three of those are favorites of mine. I'm just getting into this show, but it's definitely a new favorite.

I simply must own that!

Hey ... it's a Revlon fragrance?!!
I doubt Alexis nor Joan would wear
such cheapass parfum!

I love those 80s ads so much! Of course, I was wearing Giorgio back then! Oy!

Thinking, I can also imagine Joan in Bal a Versailles....
