Les Exclusifs: 75ml Now Available

Apologies if everyone already knows about this, but at least four of Chanel's perfumes from its Les Exclusifs range are now available in human sized 75ml (2.5 fl. oz) bottles.
I picked up a bottle of Sycamore at Saks 5th Ave. for US$110.
Apparently they only came in a couple of days ago, and most of the SAs (at least at Saks) didn't even know about them.
Good news in my book because 200ml of anything is a lot of juice

Hurray!

very good news indeed

Hurray - yippee ! This is great !
Did you saw a bottle of Cuir de Russie at this size?
Hope that they sell the 75ml online too
What are the other 3 perfumes that come in this size??!?!?!?

I only saw Sycamore and Coromandel. The SA said 4 fragrances had been released in the new, smaller size, but in my excitement I forgot to ask which were the other two. The bottles had not yet been put on display: They were all still in a box behind the counter. Like I said, most of the SAs knew nothing about their existence!

I hope they have them here in the US too .

I got mine in NY yesterday, so you're in luck!
My friend is going to Paris end of this month and I have asked her to get me a Coromandel. I would assume, if it's available in the US, it SHOULD be available in Paris?!?!?

Any Parisians out there?
This is good news indeed,
now, if somebody would tell
me that N°22 is amoung the
four, I would be über happy!

I guess they'll all be avalible
in this size eventually?!

So far as I know, still EDT. Same juice, just smaller bottle.
Thanks again Gandhajala- just happy -it's less juice ! There were rumors about EDPs coming out .

This is great news, thanks! How does the 75ml bottle look?

Just like the 200ml bottle, but slimmer, and about 12 cm high. Same label, same magnetic cap, same presentation box. Only thing I've noticed is the sprayer on my bottle is not so great. I guess time will tell whether this affects just my bottle, or is characteristic of these new smaller bottles in general.

I'm back in London now, but if jet-leg doesn't catch up with me too soon, I'll send the SA at Saks an email and try and find out which are the other 2 perfumes that have been released in the 75ml version. Of course, I'll let you all know her response.
Hope that they launch all exclusifs in 75ml in future. And one can wish that they do in future a coffret with even smaller sizes, like the 15ml of hermessence collection. It`d be great!
In the UK there are 15ml "parfum" available, only 4. Cuir de Russie is one of them. Maybe they are available everywhere? They are on the UK website.
This is good news.

And I assume a good business decision as well!
If I remember correctly, these are the four: Coromandel, Sycomore, Beige and Eau de Cologne.

Definitely no Cuir de Russie or Chanel No 22!
Great news - I've been eyeing the Cologne.

Well, that would have been too good to be true!
But, Eau de Cologne, I'd never thought that would
be one of them, nor Beige for that matter, those
are dull..!
Ducky, I wouldn't say dull, but they are less adventurous... And it's easier to sell "pretty" than something with a stronger character.

Well, potato/patato ... I just asumed, that it would be the big sellers
which would get launched in the new sizes first, and I never ever in my
wildest fantasy imagined, that EdC and Beige were Les Exclusifs bestsellers,
that's all!
I had read somewhere that Coromandel and No. 22 were their bestsellers.
The 15ml parfums are a different 4: Cuir de Russie, No 22, Gardenia, Bois des Iles

This is seriously the best news I've heard all day. Best news all week, even. Maybe even EVER*.

(*Yes, I am only slightly exaggerating

Now if they would just offer *those* EDTs in the smaller bottles, I'd be thrilled. Well, not Gardenia, but the other three: I'd buy them in a heartbeat.
This is very good news.....Thanks so much for the update.....Gary
post #31 of 91
I guess this also means the the Les Exclusifs collection is now available at Saks; I was under the impression that they were previously exclusive to Chanel boutiques and Bergdorf Goodman only.

Alas, there's no online ordering info yet at either Saks.com or BergdorfGoodman.com (or even Chanel.com, for that matter).
Wonderful news
Great news... what the heck were they thinking with those 200mls anyways!

I`d never saw Coromandel and Sycomore as easier or pretty, and they are available in 75ml.
Chanel are probably finding that they'd sell more if they offered smaller bottles. Economic times and all that.....
Oooh, I am so getting Sycomore!
Do they still have those groovy magnetic caps , I love those

Though I agree that it's great to get Exclusifs on a smaller bottle, I can't help but think the price is unfair.

The 200 ml is retailing for how much these days? $210?

Well, that's economy of scale for you. Still, $110 for 75ml isn't too bad. Sycamore is definitely worth it.
I'm definitely gonna try Sycamore now that I can get it for a reasonable price.

I need me a sample on the double!

Yeah, I've been reluctant to try them all since I don't know what I'll do if I liked them all!

While on topic, out of the line which one smells more masculine?

IMO, Sycomore, Coromandel and Eau De Cologne <---unisex very easy
post #44 of 91
Thanks. I'll have to check those out tomorrow.
Good news, thanks for sharing it.
Wonderful news indeed. This will allow many people to add some truly fantastic fragrances to their collections. Personally, I love having the 200ml "tank".. or maybe I've just gotten used to it.. but I've avoided buying 200ml flacons of some in the collection (example: 31 Rue Cambon), surviving on decants, just because I'd seriously never use more than 200ml of it in a lifetime. 75ml is a good compromise
post #47 of 91
Great news, more bottles to get! Thanks for sharing

No, it's not terrible. But for me, the $110 price tag just makes me want to raise the money for the 200 ml.

Add to those the Bois des Îles, which is like an Égoïste Light!

How about Cuir de Russie? I think can also be unisex?
Oh yes, Cuir de Russie, too!
Personally, I'd never thought the 200ml bottle overpriced. Is it a lot of juice? absolutely. Am I glad to have the two tanks that I own (and hopefully a third)? again, absolutely.

But for people who don't question the prices of Amouage, Xerjoff, heck, even the Creed boutique prices... $210 for 200ml puts the Chanel in the same price structure as a mass, department store release.

I'd been on the fence about Sycomore though, not really ever wanting a big bottle of it. This is good news for me in that regard!

If anyone's interested, here's a photo of the new 75ml bottle (Sycomore) next to the regular 200ml size bottle and a 5ml sample bottle. Apologies for phone-picture quality

Coromandel in a smaller bottle? That is really cool.
Well, I like the look of the bigger bottles the most.
I'd rather have seen them just make a smaller version
of the big ones, instead of this thinner one ... maybe
that's just me?!

Thanks for the photo, Gand!

Thanks. It was a free sample, but comes in a beautiful little presentation box, with its own booklet. Not sure whether to use it up, or keep it as a collectable.
Thanks for the pic Gandhajala. The new bottle looks a little elongated - wonder why they just didn't keep the proportion .
I don't think the 200 ml bottles were overpriced at $200 - free shipping too if you buy from Chanel online- it's just the sheer volume of it .
Also,I guess I am one of the few who loves Chanel Gardenia then ! *LOL*

Tee hee. One of the few maybe, but you're definately not alone. I remember being in a Chanel boutique once, chatting to a lady who spritzed her forearm with Gardenia and proffered it my way for a smell. I think I may have fallen a little bit in love...
Wow, I never realized the samples go for $40 on eBay. I scored two (Sycomore and Cuir de Russie) from the lovely SA at Bergdorf's in NYC last month and the die-cut packaging is indeed lovely. Guess I'll hold on to them, even if knowing that selling on eBay would practically cover the cost of one of those gorgeous new 75ml bottles ...
