Looking for a cinnamon scent...

I have a love for cinnamon, i have Tom Ford's TV, tried Musc Ravageur and Ambre Narguille, but feel like exploring this warm sensual fragrance note a little further, can anyone tell me of a great fragrance with an excellent cinnamon note? either in the top notes or in the base

Le Male/Body Kouros, but if you want something better:

L'Artisan Tea for Two
Frapin Caravelle Epicee (my favorite)
Frapin Passion boisee
Diesel zero plus

Actually frapin seems to have few spicy fragrances, and by spicy I don't mean indian spices. I'm referring to kitchen spices, slightly sweet, that are not your typical vanilla/tonka bean/amber or what have you, nor are they cumin or pepper and such.

Probably the most obviously cinnamon fragrance if you can track down a bottle is Witness by Bogart.

just looked up the reviews on this one.... sounds really good

Diesel Zero Plus Masculine is the equivalent of directly inhaling cinnamon

I get a bit of cinnamon in Lacoste Style in Play as well.

Halston Z-14. Simply put, the noses behind it just layered a lot of dense earthy stuff on top of a base composed of nothing more than naked cinnamyl alcohol. After thirty minutes with it on, it doesn't get any more cinnamon than that.

You need to try:
Rousse by Serge Lutens

Not of the bakery cinnamon frosting variety, but drier cinnamon bark.

This:

Has a dominant cinnamon note in it. Great stuff, but below average longevity.

Frapin is a really good house, it's just small so you won't hear about it much here. Caravelle Epicee lasts a good time, I get 8+ hour plus on it, which is pretty good for a spicy fragrance. It's also one of the few purely spicy fragrance that don't start smelling like BO after a while.

And I knew Gucci PH II recommendations were coming, as Naitch said it has below average longevity. It lasts 10 minutes on me, the juice is average at best, even if it was great though, something that weak isn't even worth $5.

Original Santal by Creed has a very strong blast of cinnamon in the top notes.
Thanks for the thread, Mike - hadn't seen that one.

It's still Eau Lente for me . . .

Comme des Garcons - White has a great red hot cinnamon note, along with some light florals. This has to be my favorite cinnamon centric scent.

Also, I think Hummer H2 is a refreshing cinnamon scented cheapie

I concur. I gave it a full wearing today. Barely got 1 hour longevity before fading into oblivion.

Regarding OP's question, I would recommend trying Carlos Santana for Men. Nice sweet cooked cinnamon & apples accord, with lavender and vanilla. Composition reminds me of an apples and cinnamon version of Valentino V.

Burberry London has a strong cinnamon leaf note throughout the life of the fragrance, but this is green and not the same thing as ground cinnamon. Not a bad choice though.

It's the only frag I own that I have to use the atomizer more than once in a day.

I've read that Caron Anarchiste is cinnamon-y, but haven't tried it myself.

Costes
Lubin Inedite

Parfums de Nicolai Maharadjah is cinnamon and lavender. Great stuff.

Jaipur Homme and Jaipur Homme Fresh.

I tried Gucci PH I today, and WOW, I'm so surprised few people talk about this one. It's another spicy fragrance with cinammon. Way better than the pathetic PH II, despite me enjoying the tea note.

Baie de Genievre by Creed.

It has a cinnamon leaf note in it which I've found unmatched.

I would suggest:

Dunhill Edition,
Corduroy by Zirh,
Bogart's Witness,
Armand Basi Homme,
Burberry London

I also agree with the recs of Rousse and the Diesel

Costume National Homme

Serge Lutens Rousse is all about cinnamon.
Prominent cinnamon note in Diptique L'Eau and L'Eau de L'Eau, Comme des Garcons edp

Cinnamon from the Comme des Garcons Sherbert Series is a fantastic pure cinnamon scent. Its amazing how soft cinnamon is when it is not juiced up with other spices or woods.

Frederic Malle's - Geranium Pour Monsieur has an interesting application of cinnamon. It brings a warmth to contrast the minty opening and adds a dustyness to the flower.

Of course the usual suspects are Joop! Homme (how has nobody mentioned that yet?!), Creed Original Santal, and Hermessessence Ambre Narguile. I'll also plug Armani Privee Ambre Soie. Frapin Caravelle Epicee is quite good, I'd suggest trying it. oh, and forgot this one - Bois 1920, Sushi Imperiale

I have a barely touched bottle of Diesel Zero Plus to swap if you are interested.

I think my 3 favourite Cinnamon fragrances are AN, Rousse & Must de Cartier PH, in that order.

Jaipur Homme!

Clive Christian C. Opens with leather & raspberries and drys down to the most beautiful cinnamon I've ever smelled. But I have yet to see anyone mention cinnamon notes when describing it so it might just be my skin...

The new Salvador (not the 92' scent although that also has cinnamon) has a very nice cinnamon mid/base you might want to check out.
There's also London for men as already mentioned, Serge Noire also has a nice cinnamon note, of the oldies i can say Jill Sander Man Pure and Bogner and Révillon PH.
Hermès's Equipage has also some good cinnamon.
of course, Havana, JHL and Jaïpur EdP as mentioned.

cheers
