please weigh in your expertise for my Dirty Dozen experiment

In a nutshell, for various reasons, I have decided to limit myself to 12 fragrances maximum. Obviously, these need to be fragrances I really love and/or what I would consider "the best in it's class". That being said, the 12 I have presently settled on are:

Aramis Havana (***)
Cartier Must
Chanel Platinum Egoiste (***)
Chanel Pour Monsieur (***)
Chanel Anteaus
Creed Millesime Imperial
Fredric Malle Musc Ravageur
L'Occitane Eau des Baux (***)
Rochas Man(***)
Versace The Dreamer
YSL M7
YSL Rive Gauche

Under consideration: Divine l'homme Sage, Le Lebo Rose 31, VC@A PH

Now, if I could ask you to help me:
1) Are there any you feel would be an upgrade on what I have settled on (ex. I have been told AMouage Opus II is similar yet superior to Rive Gauche)
2) Are there any general recommendations/comments you would have based on what you see of my current tastes.

BTW, those with *** are those I would most likely look to keep and add an alternative to my rotation (ex. Rochas Man and add New Haarlem)

Thanks for any feedback you could give. I appreciate your expertise!

I like the idea of 12 and that's IT. The bottom line is if you thin these are the best in class then go for it.
Since you asked for suggestions : Rose 31 is not a bad addition (test 1st of course)
+ are you absolutely SURE about Cartier Must ?
+ finally - then I'll shut-up - ever tried Ho Hang Club as opposed to Anteaus ?

SoGent - thanks, that exactly the type of post I'm lookinf for.

1) Have tried Rose 31, REALLY liked it
2) I really like Must, but am not married to it. If I found something I liked better, I would replace it, preferably of the same ilk (to me at least it's a cold weather/nighttime/possible romantic scent.
3) never tried Ho Hang Club...I'll be sure to add it to my test list! Thanks.

I'm wondering about Platinum Egoiste, given that you have Rive Gauche PH as a great fougère already. What sort of things would you be looking at substituting for PE - other fougères, citrus-opening scents, powdery, etc.? I like and own PE, but I would not keep it as one of my 12.

Redneck - to be honest, PE is probably my overall #1 (with Havana a close #2). As is, I would most likely not delete them completely at this time. In fact they would probably the only two I would consider near-untouchable at this time.

That interesting what you say about Rive Gauche.....you probably have a much more sophisticated nose then I do, but I don't consider them particularly similar. In fact I would lean to PE more in warm weather, RG in cold.

^ I agree - you have to keep your true loves. Havana is an awesome frag, and if PE is a keeper, it's a keeper! End of discussion on that one.

I'm not very familiar with Must de Cartier, but I know that Santos de Cartier Concentrée is amazing stuff. Have you given that a good try? It gets a LOT of respect from a lot of critical noses, whereas Must, not as much.
