Chanel Rouge Fatal with OPI Glitzerland on the inner side of the nail. Fun. :-)

Butter London Toff & one nail on each hand painted with Deborah Lippmann's Razzel Dazzel.

OPI Off With Her Head Red, which I learned is now discontinued. I only just discovered this today and find it the perfect "between rust & red" red.

OPI You Only Live Twice, magenta with gold and red glitter.

This was part of the Alice In Wonderland collection. It's one of my favourite red cremes, very flattering shade for my skin tone. It's quite similar to Bullish On OPI (Spanish collection) but I like OWHR better.

Chanel Frenzy

It looked fine after two coats, but as it's very sheer I went on with a third. I shouldn't have done than. Now it's an unattractive, dirty greyish.
I removed my polish a few days ago. So from today OPI New England Nutmeg.

I am loving OPI OWHHR, it "goes" with everything...very classy shade of red.

Tried a new drugstore polish on tips yesterday- Sally Hansen InstaDri in Wined Up. Like the color but the cap comes with a much thicker brush than I am used to (felt really clumsy to apply).
Any one have any tips on mastering the fat brush?
I know that brush.....it's difficult to work with.

Today was salon visit day. We tried something new, pink & white acrylic. I definitely do not like this. The nail is so thick and looks really fakey.

NOT happy with this.

Just changed last night after a bare nails week. Zoya Faye, a strange duo look bright sparkly bronze with hints of mauve.

OPI An Affair in Red Square on tips and toes, a perfect Christmas ornament red!
Tig, I was looking at that color just the other day. Seems to me like it was the perfect Christmas red. Is it a creme?

I currently have a french manicure with OPI Pirouette My Whistle (silver sparkle from the NYC Ballet Collection.) It's really pretty, looks like little silver snowflakes on my nails.

Vodka & Caviar (another one from the Russian collection) is creme, An Affair in Red Square is pearl. Here's a pic:

RHM, I am half crazy for this color, but I've had so many problems with the polishes from Dior that I have decided not to buy more of them. I hate their new brush, I hate the thick formula, and I think they are far too heavily pigmented. (An exception is Blue Tuxedo which I love).

Please, tell me, do you like this brand in general? And how is this particular color to work with compared to other colors (if you know)?

Yesterday I decided to give Chanel Pearl Drop a second chance. I tried it in the summer and didn't like the yellow hue. This time I have applied three coats, and that was an improvement. In daylight the color is a pale gold, and in the evening it turns into a warm white. Very nice, actually.

Still stuck with Butter London Two Fingered Salute. This and Victoriana might be my favourite Butter London shades, both are very flattering to my skin tone.
dorthea, I am not a fan of Dior nail polish in general. I own only 2 & those I purchased based on color alone. This newer one is an improvement on the consistency, not streaky like most of their other colors. If your local store has a nail bar, as many places are lately, definitely try before you buy.

I find, butter london, OPI & YSL are my most consistent quality nail polish brands. Some of Chanel colors are great but they don't last on me.

Tig, I found Two Finger Salute & it's very interesting. The color tone did nothing for me, I'm to pale & too pink. Still, really beautiful polish!

I'm back in a basic French after a manicure yesterday.

It reminds me of old bronze statues outdoors and the way they go green! I'm pale, too, but my skin is olive, not pink: my veins look more green than blue.

Yesterday I bought Dior Nail Glow from the spring collection.

Love natural look of the sheer pink and the fact that you can vary the shade/transparency depending on how many coats you use!

Time for a classic red creme for a change: Bullish on OPI. This is a nice, slightly muted soft warm red with a vintage feel. Works well with my Illamasqua Encounter lippie.

I'll give a try! The colour is truly lovely!

One of my favourites, too! A perfect pure bright red. (Vodka and Caviar is a bit cooler shade)

Essie Really Red and Butter London Pillar Box Red are nice alternatives, too.

(I'm just as hopeless with red creme nail polishes as I am with red matte lipsticks: there never seems to be enough of them. )

I have been polish free for over a week. But today applied OPI Chocolate Mousse.

There's a floor renovation coming, so I will spend next weeks moving furniture etc. This means I must wear a rather neutral shade that doesn't look catastrophic when it chips. Butter London All Hail the Queen is always a safe bet!
