Looking for a Leather Scent, which do you prefer and why?

tuscan leather is nice, it is a bit of a dirty leather and to me it is more on the masculine side.

I don't consider FT to be leather - it's honied-tobacco for sure, but I'm not quite sure on the leather. If it's a listed note, I don't smell it.

Was told by an SA at Barneys Fumerie Turque will no longer be available in US

Haven't smelled Tuscan Leather, but I can't imagine it being much worse than Fumerie Turque. Besides, FT isn't really a leather frag anyway. Maybe replace FT with something like Cuir Ottoman and make it a fair contest.

Totally agree.....so my choice would be Tuscan Leather. This smells real leather. Very elegant.

Definitely go with Tuscan Leather if you're seeking a leather scent. Like others have already mentioned, it is pretty realistic-smelling.

Some others you may like to consider:

Montale Aoud Leather
Montale Oud Cuir d'Arabie

I like FT very much, but not because it boasts leather.

I don't get any leather from Fumerie Turque but it is a fantastic scent nonetheless. Haven't tried Tuscan Leather, but for a classy, modern leather I would suggest Cuir Pleine Fleur by Heeley. That stuff is awesome.
