An all right citrus-vetiver freshness, counterbalanced by pepper, wood and later in the drydown some incense notes. A standard theme played out often and nothing special.
The original vintage version:
Amongst the classic chypres this is a more floral one, with touches of citrus, rose and jasmine in the top notes. Woody and leather becomes more obvious in the...
Goldy, is a perfume that when used draws a lot of attention, making it an eye-catching and head-turning fragrance. It evokes a soothing feeling, and brings a level of comfort to the person...
Broderie, is a perfume that is highly sophisticated, kind of Classy, and famously known as "the Jewels" of the body. It is very rare and you can hardly see another perfume that has similar smell....
My initiation with perfumes in High School was Aqua Velva (wasn't everybody's then) but became bored pretty soon, I moved up to English Leather (still in HS) but after just one bottle I couldn't...
Wow, didn't realize that autumn was already upon us. Fragrance-wise, it's not really autumn to me until I have to shave the ice off my windshield in the morning. I don't think I'm quite ready to break out the John Varvatos or Burberry London just yet. I'll probably wear some Bond no. 9 Great Jones, even though it's not my favorite.
Considering the weather hasn't dipped under 70 Fahrenheit this week, I don't consider it autumn for fragrances yet. I will most likely be sporting some YSL - L'homme or some AdG
Yea it's still 90 degrees daily where I am....Fall fragrances are still on hold for me. I start to break them out in 50 - 60 degree sweater weather. Can't wait.
Gonna be in the low 80's here tomorrow & since I didn't wear L'HOMME today, I'm gonna plan on wearing it tomorrow. That is until a bottle calls to me that I haven't worn in a while...always happens. It's still a fall type, breezy 80 degrees so I'm putting my Aquatics on the back shelf.
Yeah still too hot over here, so I'm going with something light. Can't wait to bring out London, Body Kouros and Pure Malt though. I love autumn and I'm ready for autumn weather. Bring on the cold.

Ice on windshield would be winter but hey whatever! I will be rocking Burberry London or maybe Chergui(once I buy it that is).
I've been in Tabac Blond extrait for nearly the whole week with cool mornings and warming up during the day. It's marvellous. It has taken me months and a couple of wearings to wear it and not being worn
My answer comes extremely belated, but I always envisioned celebrating the first day of autumn with a smooth, classic herbal-citrus frag like Eau Sauvage (which is precisely what I am wearing now), because though Eau Sauvage is more frequently perceived as a summer frags, to me, it has that certain something very suitable for damp, cool but not excessively cold, mildly sunny early autumn days
I applied Secretions Magnifique for a third full wearing today. I had to reapplicate in the early afternoon. Nobody complained, though.
I get used to the sharp opening and learn to appreciate the transition from metal/rot to a damp flowery smell to some tannic aroma reminiscent of uncooked chestnut. Doesn't fit chestnut common autumnal hopes and expectations very well? SM is the only bodily secretion exposed to become more prim with time, smellwise ... ;-)
It's going to be fairly warm here (Philadelphia) and not quite "autumn weather" as I think of it. That being said, my go-to fall scent will be L'Occitain Eau des baux....I will also be wearing John Varvartos Vintage when the weather cools
Rochas Man for the first day of Autumn... gonna break out the Michael Kors soon though, and my samples from the Perfumed Court; Chergui, M7 and Ambre Precieux!
