Which Ébène do I have ?

I found 2 bottles recently in a dusty old perfumery, here in france. I know it´s definitely not the recent re-issue.
It´s also not the version/packaging I remember from the 80´s. The box is square, white and quite tall. The logo is in black and copper, (similar to the colour used on Coriolan). The boxes are sealed and I don´t want to open them yet. Judging from the shape of the boxes, the bottle must be different to anything I know. Could this be a really old version?

That sounds like an intriguing find! Sorry I can't comment on the age of the bottles, but hopefully someone can help you...

Have you seen the re-issue of Ebene yet in France??? It was supposed to launch over the summer, but I have yet to find anyone selling it online, and I have looked in shops in the US and it is not to be found...

Is this the box you are talking about? http://www.latuaprofumeria.com/scheda_view.asp?id=4189

I don't know that one, either. Do you know what the new reissue looks like?

Hi Noggs !......and thanks ......that´s exactly what I have !!! I have the impression that this is an older version of the perfume, but I cannot confirm it.
To answer arlecchino´s question. No, I have not seen the new Ébène anywhere yet. Also, I have not seen Arabian Nights from Jacques Bogart so far.

Here is a picture of the new Ebene reissue bottle: http://www.balmain.com/parfum-ebene/

Strangely, this appears on the main Balmain website, but doesn't appear on their online boutique website.

Looks very retro and very similar to the old bottle. Still not sure what the box looks like, though.

I wish i loved ebene, but i couldn't like it I have a bottle almost full of the old version here, which i tried to sell and didn`t have success and which i don`t feel like wearing right now.
I`m curious about the new version, but it seems that balmain scents takes a looong time to arrive at discount stores. Ambre Gris took almost a year to arrive online after it was launched
