David, what's it like? I would love to get a bottle of this.
I have a bottle of the original Pomellato from 1989, which was marketed to women. It is very nice, and imo wearable by men.
Based on the notes listed on Perfume Intelligence, I can say that it starts out fruity, not sweet and cloying, but fresh and bracing with mandarin and grapefruit. Jasmine, tuberose, and ylang-ylang gradually make their presence known, but there's also enough galbanum there to make the experience green and light rather than dense and heady. The basenotes of sandalwood, musk, and myrrh are subtle and not sweet at all. This isn't a heavy fragrance in the least. All in all it seems like a much more contemporary fragrance than something from 1989. It reminds me of something The Different Company might produce.
