A summery anise fragrance?

I love anise in fragrances, but it seems to be most dominated in cooler weather scents. I enjoy Lolita Lempicka au Masculin and Opium PH but these dont suit me too well in the extreme heat.

Any recommendations on summer fragrances with a good dose of anise?

Badian by L'Occitane

Possibly Anice by Etro (I have only heard about this one). I have heard this is like pure anise, so on second thought may not be good for the heat. Some have described it as having the same scent as the liquor Ouzo from Greece.

Greetings Kerosene!

Eau de Badian by L'Occitane - possibly more spring than summer
Apres L'Ondee - a more floral approach, fine for summer

I don't know what you consider "summery," but have you tried this?

Serge Lutens Douce Amère (2000) Christopher Sheldrake Oriental
------------------
Top Notes: Absinth, Anise •Middle Notes: Cinnamon, Tiare flower, Jasmine, Lily, •Base Notes: Chocolate Note, Vanilla, Musk, Cedar
------------------

I think it's recently been discontinued, but you might still be able to find it with a little searching...
Hmm, try here.

Check out OPIUM POUR HOMME EAU D'ORIENT! Great for summer!

Chopard pour Homme contains star anise, which is different from anise but has anethole, the main essense oil common to both ingredients. The anise accord in Chopard pour Homme is not as intense as that of Opium pH and Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin. I live in a tropical environment and find Chopard pH the easiest to wear (and the best, IMO).

Another easy-wearing (star) anise scent is Ungaro's Apparition Homme Intense.

Caron Eau de Reglisse - notes of aniseed, licorice essence, green mandarin, verbena, nutmeg, ginger, patchouli, vanilla and musk.

Mat; very male or the lighter version of the Au Masculin

Etro - Anice

I second Eau de Reglisse and add Guerlain Anisia Bella if you can find it (really nice), and Annick Goutal Mandragore. All very light and summery.

yohji homme, if you can find it for a decent price. the original lolita lempicka (marketed for women) can be a great summer fragrance too.

^ Agree on Yohji Homme.

Also, I think Azzaro Pour Homme works in the heat, if you're ok with something butch.

Eau de reglisse is really great as mentioned above. It has a fresh tea anise aura that is very refreshing in hot and warm days

Apparition Homme Intense is another fresh anise scent and that you can find for a cheap price online. My only complain is that it was very light on me and it didn`t stayed so long.

Well, Rive Gauche Pour Homme obviously. As well as Cereus No. 11.

KenzoAir.

How about some True Star?

Jo Malone Vanilla and Anise, perhaps?

The two I came up with are already mentioned: KenzoAir and Cereus No. 11 - very nice in summer.

I'd second the Etro Anice and Douce Amère, and perhaps add Fou d'Absinthe.

You need look no further than 06130 Feuille de Reglisse. Very summery anise fragrance. Hope you enjoy it I might also recommend Annick Goutal Mandragore, which is a cool, citrusy summer fragrance with a hint of anise. Both perfectly fit the bill of what you are looking for.
