In your opinion, what is the worst smelling fragrance?

make it soemthing that actual gets respect from some people. not some 10 dollar obviously bad smelling fragrance that doesnt count.

i mean a fragrance where some people are like "man its great" and ur sitting there like "how?!?! whats with ur nose????"

for me, Grey Flannel. ew

It has to be Aqua Velva, it smells cheap (well, it is cheap LOL) and sleazy. Some people swear by it (just read the reviews in this database), but to me is the worst (well, second to Skin Bracer, but I do not consider that brew a perfume LOL).
On the other hand, Dulla in this thread named Pure Vetiver by Azzaro as the worst smelling perfume, but to me is one of the best, and for its price, you can not beat it. Just to show you how tastes differ.

For me, it's Azzaro pour Homme.

It smells like a cheap 80s fragrance (which it is), and it really doesn't smell special the way something like Ungaro II and Zino do.

+1 for Black XS. Awful awful awful awful piece of garbage. I bought this blind and just picked it out. I have never been insulted for wearing a fragrance before...it hurt my feelings. I was actually told that I smell like synthetic strawberries and I should take a shower (by my girlfriend)

What we need ( for fun ) is to elect someone on this thread to be the judge of "Worst of the Worst" and all of us send him a sample of what we consider to be the nastiest scent we unfortunately have.

I would elect petruccijc simply because I respect his nose. Whaddya say Joe? Are you willing to have us send you an atomizer of our vile juice and you pick a winner?

Hello all, first time post. For me I would say Mediteranium fronted by Fabio. I used to work the men's fragrance counter at Lord and Taylor for about 4 years and anytime someone sprayed it I would gag a little.

Others I am not a fan of:

Aramis 900
Jazz
Kouros
Joop
PS
Drakar Noir (only because every single man who came to the counter wanted to try it).

A local cheapo that is a knock off of something I am gratefull I don't know. That surpases everything.

Honorary mentions:

- Spazio Krizia
- Grey Flannel : I am having trouble with it, violets are not for me
- O de Lancome pour Homme is like "green" to the power of nth and it does not feel natural
- Bergamotto Marino is an amped up EdC, like an eau taken beyond its limits

I can remember only two fragrances that made me cringe when I tried them in the shop, one was Chanel Egoiste, the other Mugler A*Men. A*Men is truly horrible.

YSL Rive Gauche while not completely horrible, just reminds me of Old Spice way too much which I can't stand. Maybe one day when I'm older I'll appreciate it. I gave it to my Dad since he couldn't find the original Old Spice anymore...he loves it.

I actually like Kouros kinda. Could still smell it on my skin after I showered which was wierd. Still not sure when to wear it. I don't want to offend anyone around me.

Nah.....you have good taste Joe. You simply have a wider palette than most.

All kidding aside........we really should have a "Worst of the Worst" and pick someone to have samples sent to them and let them decide. You would be a good candidate Joe simply because of the array of frags you do like. However, if you don't want to be judging what others think is the worst juice they have, I completely understand.
